Currently UND +31.5

O/U 52

Vegas knows something.....:glare:

Wonder if it jumped because of Kett not playing or Holm possibly not playing.

Either way, I'll take UND to cover.

Was there anything in his post about UND having a dominant OL?

UND may very well have a dominant OL. We will find out on Saturday.

The AG college was considered magically UNBEATABLE for all those years until a goofy defensive player (LOVE Mike Mooney) snatched an interception and ran it back for an improbable touchdown and the tide turned for more than a decade until the bison fled their league for "higher" ground.  Time for UND to stake some claim to that land too!   Maybe not with a win but I think Bubba will put a good scare on them this year.  PERFECT calling card for our entrance into the MoValley next year!   Coming for ya Bizooone:-)

PLUS most of your fans are girly or wimps who can't take sh*t because they can't swear out loud while living in their parents basements.

Oh, UND will eventually win a game against NDSU. The Bison generally lose a game or two every year. In the 10 or so years they have been on the MVFC, they have probably lost to each school at least once. Luckily for UND , it is often to a bad team. Sometimes a teams just plays badly enough to lose to anybody. It is bound to happen eventually.

You would think so, but this is just too many points. I took the points.

Remember the Gopher hockey game a year ago, opened with $100 on UND and with a UND win they paid you $240.  Got in on that a little.

LOTS  of Bizzzoonne fans trolling yet they don't seem to have ANY interest on their home website - bizzzooonnneville.com - in this matchup...HHMMMMMM!!!

I think we're being played by a bunch of unemployed douchebags!  Maybe they can find jobs at Notre Dame....some school in Ireland I think????????????

So likely 3 starters out for us, biggest of which might be Holm who is our best corner.  Week 2 and three starters out...freaking sucks.  We need some breaks to go the other way not against us.

I have no inside information, but I have a feeling Holm will play.

Drake had a true freshman QB that still looked like a HS kid and an OL and receivers that weren't very good. I think perhaps any cormer's and safety's would look good.

Cannot understand how the Mods here think allowing SU trolls to derail every UND fan discussion makes this a better discussion for the UND fans.

The line with the O/U total puts the score at 41/42-10 NDSU.

I'd be shocked if UND only scores 10.

If one is wagering the smart play is to bet the over and UND to cover.

Didn't Mooney rip the ball out of the Bison players arms?

The problem with FCS football betting is Vegas very pays very little attention to it.   Your major sports books usually don’t even touch a FCS/FBS matchup.  I believe 5dimes is the only one covering FCS football and sometimes questionable at that as UND was only favored by 8 points last week.  I assume the line this week and last week are based more on last seasons teams and performance and nothing else.  I doubt there is a lot time invested into FCS football research.

Then, like with all great rivalries, a turning point sprung from out of nowhere when it was least expected. The incident, which has no doubt morphed in “facts” and detail over the years, is known in UND athletic history as the “The Mike Mooney game” or simply as the “The strip.” In 1993, in the fourth quarter at UND's Memorial Stadium, UND was bracing for its 13 th straight loss to NDSU, when suddenly bedlam ensued. UND linebacker Mike Mooney, who, folklore holds was turned down by NDSU in the recruiting process years earlier, stripped the ball from a Bison player and scampered the other way for a UND touchdown and an eventual 22-21 victory over the vaunted Bison.

That game ranks high on Schweigert's list of rivalry memories.

Moo U legend says the player was down by contact.

Exactly.  The extent of their research for this game was NDSU won big last week, they are the defending Champions, they are playing at home, they are playing a team that went 6-5 last year and UN D is starting their backup QB.  Maybe I am giving them too much credit.  Sure, Vegas never likes to lose money, but there is so little action on FCS games compared to the rest of the NCAA and the NFL, that it is hardly a blip on their radar.  30.5 I think is too high.  I would likely put it at around 22-24.

Tell them Bentrim was also down on "the pitch".  That will usually shut them up.

I think 38-14 is a reasonable bet with the O/U still at 52.

It is reasonable the Bison score 38 but I don't think so.  UND is better than giving up 38.
