Since 2000 - UND has won 1 Natty...ONE...despite having the greatest college hockey facility under the sun (true!) It was built so we could attract the greatest athletes to our storied program (true) We have had the finest UND pedigree coaches working - they just haven't been able to close the deal - why is that? Why doesn't anyone have the balls to ask? I guess you can just go and find another funny meme and plan to lose again next year. You seem to be used to it now. Look at the players Hak had? Toews, Oshie, Duncan et al and couldn't win ONCE in his tenure at UND? WHY? What was missing? Seems like he freaked out the team when they got to the FF - 4 Straight and no wins? Wished him well when he moved on to NHL and I still root for him there but for "whatever reason" he couldn't get it done. Seriously ask yourself why? MOVE FORWARD - Berry comes in and wins in his first year with Hak's recruits - beginners luck? Maybe BUT GREAT! We got one and it was nice. After that...? Another SLEW of TOP SHELF recruits that could never close the deal! Yes Covid f*cked us and all that but again - Berry is going on a decade since with nothing but great excitement with the teams he's cobbled and total disappointment in the post season. At least Hak got us to the FF where we got another week or two of optimism before our hopes were quashed like a stale Pall-Mall. All of this still begs the question - WHY? It's not the athletes - they show up. It's not the facility. There is nothing even close anywhere else in college hockey. So what is it? It's easy to blame the coaching staff but these are UND GUYS 100% - okay - I'm not blaming them. They're doing their job (within limits) so what else could it possibly be??? I think I know but I'll throw it out there to you guys? What do you think it is? Memes are alright for simpletons to reply but this is a serious question? Otherwise just keep banging your heads against the wall and it may take UND another 20 years to win a Natty? To me - that is unacceptable!

Here's what UND would have to do - maybe dump the endless UND Alum-coaching parade for a breath of fresh air and NOT just promote slaves to the fighting sioux nickname anchor that is killing this program? These kids come in playing for the college they signed up for but 90% of the fans pretend they're still playing for another team and a nickname that has been retired. GET OVER IT! There's an identity crisis that is strangling UND hockey right now and it has to stop. Hey fat old UND fans in the stands who still barely fit into your Sioux jerseys sitting like you just sh*t your pants watching your team blow another opportunity...want to get back to WINNING? It would be a mercy killing FOR SURE! Since the old WCHA Final 5 went away this tournament has NEVER been anything near what it used to be. Went to the first couple NCHC tourneys at the Target Center and realized right away - THIS SUCKS and never went back and THAT SUCKS because this tournament used to be the BEST EVER! For the following reasons... --It was a HOCKEY EVENT! Every team would bring all the fans they could and the venue would be packed or close to it. Greatest college hockey post season environment ever! Even beat out the FF most years. --Michigan Tech Band would show up and play their ASSES OFF around the arena although their team almost never made it. Priceless! --The X would be PACKED and CRAZY for rivalry games - Wisco cheeseheads - GOOF Fans - et al. Screaming and insanity in the aisles. The goal was to be obnoxious and give as good as you'd get! So would our fans! Now it's a tepid environment at best...an environment that doesn't seem to inspire our team at all. It's time to move on to a new thing I'd say. Bring home sites on!

"Sammy Sioux" is flat out a racist logo you a-hole. Just stop it. The Brien logo - actually a real work of art - has also been altered to look "slightly pissed" so you fucked with that too. The geometric logo has been rounded so it looks a "little different". The Blackhawk logo I could care less because that's a Chicago logo - NOT UND and I don't even know wtf that last one is but ALSO not UND. BTW - They're the UND Fighting Hawks now - like it or not. It has been mentioned at least a couple of times on recent threads (including a couple of posts ago on this thread) that someone bought all of the mugs that had been left and sold them on Ebay. So YES we're dredging up a lot of old memories here but I actually sold a load of old Frenchy's mugs on Ebay! I found them in an old antique shop on the east side on Central avenue. 2 old people that bought them by the box for who knows how much and were selling them for $2 each. I bought probably 100 of them and sold them for about $10-20 each on Ebay - so Frenchy didn't exactly lose out on a million dollars but I made a few bucks. (I also have one of his nickel beer (6 oz) glasses that is priceless - I'll never sell that!) Best memory was a lady that bought one and asked if I had her mug with her sig on it - just so happened I DID! It blew her mind and I've never had a more satisfied customer in my life.s FYI for you oldsters! - I also have a bunch of the old original songbooks from the Piano Bar at the Westward HO along with the ORIGINAL Fishbowl recipes I bought at their auction - pm me if you're interested! (I did pretty good with those on Ebay too!) I'll give you a good deal!
