In fairness, the Bison fans I tend to listen to or follow are giving a very real and stark assessment.

They're questioning DL and LB recruiting (in the Entz era). They're questioning tacking ability*. And they are questioning team speed. That's the defensive side, and let's be honest, all those hits still apply to UND.

Offensively they're not in love with the scheme (shotgun, not under center, to run true power) or playcalling.

*Bison radio color Phil Hanson was losing his mind over this on air even late last season.

would phil ever get into coaching?

Doubtful. He has a special needs daughter, referees HS sports, owns lots of valuable farm land. He took a run at the state senate and feels strongly about a number of political issues.

him and deion are roughly the same age and neon deion only started a few years back.......?

Phil isn’t egotistical. He doesn’t need to feed his ego. Nice guy. Family man. Community minded.

Just call me Al; we have The Al, The Ralph, The Betty, and The Fritz...

I know it was meant in a derogatory way when it was first coined years ago,  but I like the Tin Shed or just "The Shed".

Friendly reminder for those with Midco cable: Midco Sports, 7 pm tonight, replay.

I wonder if Fighting Hawks Radio Network has the radio call as a podcast somewhere ... anyone know ... @the green team? I have a drive later this week.

I taped it and have watched it twice so far.

The other thing UND has over the Bison is tailgating.

Talked with 3 SU young ladies as we waited in line for the Porta Potty (why can't they bring in more??) and they told me it's so much better than at SU. Just more kids involved and better atmosphere.

And by more porta pottys, you mean a minimum of 25-30 more.

Saw this somewhere:

UND's nine possessions (counting opening KO): 7 TDs, 1 punt, 1 turned over on downs (with 15 seconds in game).

Like it was Dolphins Broncos or something.

Rewatched the game tonight on ESPN+ replay...... remember when we said we just wanted to be better than the other team and not have to rely on trick plays? I don't think there was a single trick play against SU.

Rewatching the game had some good moments, like every time the O had the ball in the 2nd half.

But D MUST get to the QB and tackle him because when they miss the sack it ends up with a 20 to 40 yard gain.

Minus the CJ INT, Miller was really good.

If this is true, that is great to hear. I haven't been to a UND tailgating since probably 2007 or 2008, and back in 03 and 04 my only experience was marching through tailgating with the band.

I have been to some Bison tailgating since, probably 4 or 5 years ago, and I was always really impressed. Tons of people and great setups; Not going to knock them for their tailgating. I'd really like to see Brookings tailgating someday and watch a game in their stadium.
