honestly.....the FBS dream is slim to none so the only hope for NDAC to differ them from the other dak schools is women's hockey.  big crowds, big hits, natty's every day and night.

Some do, but often it’s the folks who complain about a lot of things. It doesn’t matter where you are from. What matters is whether or not you can coach, and whether or not you can recruit. 
One of the impressive things is how many of these players were found, then recruited, and now finally developed into  the team we saw Saturday. We do hear complaints about how many offers from other schools these guys may or may not have had. Once the players arrive on campus it doesn’t matter.
The coaches like working with each other and they get along. When our guys didn’t play well against Boise or SDSU they weren’t bitching about other guys “who’s going to be here Monday nonsense” we heard from the losing team Saturday. They stuck together, had each others back, owned their own mistakes, and worked to get better and improve as a team. 
The Bison are a good FB team and they have talent. This win  is a credit to our players, coaches, and even our fans (especially the students) who showed up big time on Saturday. 
This is still a work on progress to bring our program back to a championship caliber team. More to come.

We weren’t better than SDSU. The goal is to keep getting better each week and maybe we can play them again. In the meantime, we need to be better than UNI Saturday. 
I may have misunderstood the reference so I was referring to FB not tailgating.

They held back a fair amount by not using Ross Uglem's commentary. Selling live look-ins at him watching the game probably would pay a good chunk of Entz's buyout...

We really need to grab this opportunity by the neck and continue building on the NDSU butt-kicking. It would be great to get a playoff seed again (and this time take advantage of it).

Ross sure spent a lot of time in Grand Forks for being a NDSU student, I wish I could find a photo of him with a Sioux jersey on…….

I’ve listened to more Bison podcasts and radio shows this past week leading up to and following the game than i ever had before. It’s been fun. The post game discussion with these hosts, former players, coaches, etc all seems to be saying the same thing. That the Bison beat themselves. That something is wrong with their offense, defense, special teams, etc. that the reason they lost and by so bad is because of something they did, or didn’t do.  
 

Maybe, just maybe UND out played, out worked, and just wanted it more than NDSU. Maybe UND is a far better team than NDSU this year. Maybe this is less about how the Bison failed to execute on the field and more about how UND is just a better team than them and proved it in the field by absolutely dominating them at every aspect of the game for every quarter of the game. 

Give credit where credit is due.

With that, I find it hilarious that a school with as many financial and enrollment issues right now as NDSU can still have their sights on paying out millions to go up a division in football. Then again, many will tell you, NDSU is more a football institution than an institution of higher education. Pathetic.

Will that $5M entry really be that easy when they're also trying to buy out Entz's contract ?  I don't see either happening.

I've heard this narrative before. However, if Fargo really is The Center Of The Known Universe:

Why did it take them years to raise $$$$$ to renovate the old BSA?

Why aren't they FBS already?

Why haven't they built a newer, larger stadium?

The answer is that they aren't as big and powerful as they think they are. If people in Minneapolis-St. Paul were told what people in Imperial Cass County thought of themselves, they would laugh until they cried. Fargo is just another place in flyover country to people in larger cities and/or states. And to be honest, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Offut is a Concordia guy and Tharaldson is a Valley City State guy. Offut played FB at Concordia.  They are philanthropic but neither came across as an NDSU guy. I wouldn’t know for sure but having visited with both of them a few times at lunch/dinner or social functions I doubt they would waste money to move NDSU FB to FBS. They have donated to colleges for scholarships/buildings/academic programs.
