But as we've all said, it's really going to come down to if the OL is improved from last year. Once we got inside the 20 last year it was tough sledding for us on the ground. If it's 3rd and 1 from the 8 yard line, can we pound it up the middle for a first down, or do we have to run a trick play to pick up that one yard like last year. Even if our OL is the same as last year we should still have a good season. The only way we don’t make the playoffs is if we choke, not because we don’t have a good team. Honestly our short yardage plays can’t get any worse…

Honestly our short yardage plays can’t get any worse… If the OL doesn't get any better than last year, yes we can still have a good year. The margin for error drops significantly though. If we weren't on our backup kicker and if we didn't fumble late in 4th quarter last year could have been playoffs, so we could replicate that season but don't choke those crucial plays. If NDSU had 4th and 1 late in the game in that situation, they run it right up the gut and pick up that 1st down 95% of the time and game is over. We run a trick play...and boom, game over the other direction. Life is SO much easier when you can just consistently pick up short yardage when you need to. Our OL will likely be one of the youngest in the conference. If we can go at least 3-2 and then make the playoffs, they will have 11 games under their belt and should hopefully improve during the year and possibly make us a dangerous team in the playoffs.....if we can get there. Funny thing thing is one of the big reasons they haven’t been invited to make a jump is because their other programs are still stuck in basement while football gets the Cadillac facilities. I like that they are thinking a little out of the box and tinkering with putting Orlando or Beech as DE sometimes if some teams are just trying to power run it down our throats. Looks like Mcnaboe will likely start at one DE, he is only 240....pretty easy for him to get pushed around by 300 lb lineman.

Look where ALL your sports placed last year, all in the bottom of the conference, yet your AD gets an extension.

Not sure how not having a hockey program makes someone’s observations irrelevant to a discussion about facilities, but ok. His point stands though, it is completely false to say NDSU doesn’t have competitive facilities outside of the football program. Basketball, baseball, track and wrestling all have seen massive improvements in their facilities in the last 15-20 years.

McFooly is an antagonist. Even a NDSU fan should be able to see that. To slight either UND or SDSU indoor practice facilities because they have a indoor track is pure stupidity. Why wouldn't you build a facility to be as efficient as possible. and Yes, NDSU has also done a nice job with several of their facilities, I can't imagine Tom Miller getting on the radio and saying anything otherwise. As for Hockey, of course UND is going to put their focus on that. It may be a niche sport, but it has been very successful and very profitable for the UND. Does that mean every school should have it? No, and while I love seeing college hockey expand, having it some be so large bring some of the charm to it; you really get to know some of the other programs. My personal opinion, I would love to see NDSU have hockey. I think it would be a great immediate rivalry game and as we have seen with other new programs, there is potential for early success. Though that isn't going to happen and that's. Now can we stop the pissing match about irrelevant crap and get back to UND's Fall season?

AJS
Anybody with a good memory that has looked at the available tickets around this time in years past. How does this year look compared to other years? It appears to me that there aren't as many available as I would have normally thought. Is this correct? Student tickets: 210-212 Opposing tickets: Top of 218 Season Tickets: I clicked on buy season tickets and although you could pick most sections there weren't that many seats available Outside of opposing tickets being given back, would there be any other large groups of tickets that would become available? Ticket sales seem to be pretty strong.
