I don't know the specifics, but during the reg. season, this often had to do with how many players were affected due to contact tracing. Quote

Then, a team doesn't have enough players to play. Other times, (like Denver/CC in the NCHC Tourney) they have enough to meet player minimums. Quote

Wouldn't they almost need to compartment their socializing to avoid that scenario? I.e. 3 players groups can hang together but you better not all gather as a team? Quote
