Godsmack Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Just turned on the radio. Did Hennessy already interview Berry? If so, what did he say? Quote

Thank you for bringing some levity. UND has plenty of opportunities to right the ship, just like Cornell has. I’ll be following the Cornell-QU games. Quote

A 4th-6th place finish in the NCHC. We look like a slow team that lacks some offense skill and can’t figure out how to play in the defensive zone. Our margin of error is very slim and we can’t afford to make as many stupid plays as we did this weekend. This team needs to quickly figure out the way they need to play to be successful or they will be sitting out the tourney for the third time under Berry. 1 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Wasn’t Cornell ranked number one in the last year or two? Take the Kelly green glasses off and give Cornell some credit not saying we played up to our ability 1 Quote

Cornell is a very average team, just like this UND group. I think both will be trying to just sneak into the tournament come March and get a few breaks to go their way to make a run. 5 forward recruits that need to come in w/ only 3 Seniors. Berry needs to get some guys to transfer (9 & 11 being the two). Need to upgrade the talent. Quote

Our team looks nothing like last years group or the the previous year. Quote

This weekend was an unmitigated disaster. 5 Quote
SiouxBoys Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 I can't remember a time when I saw a team that had such little skill at forward. People can rip on @gfhockey all they want for his "grindaz" comments, but he's not exactly wrong. Quote

SIOUXELEVENS Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 This looks nothing like Sioux hockey , no fire from the players or coaches. Gaber needs to shoot more pucks and quit missing the net. 1 1 Quote

SiouxForever Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 A successful season for this years off team is to make the natty and see what happens. Despite leading the NCHC now, Idk if that’ll happen. Fast forward 2-3 years from now and it’ll be sad with Pinto last year and Sanderson’s 2-year career that UND couldn’t compete in a frozen four. Quote

SIOUXELEVENS Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Who is in charge of recruiting now , where does the buck stop? This team looks like nothing Like Berry took over, Halliday, Rizzo , morrow etc maybe these players saw the writing on the wall , this team will be down early this year. 1 Quote
Username Taken Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Let’s be honest, with a tough non-conference schedule, Cornell is one of the least skilled teams they will play all season. Cornell is not a top 10 team and neither is UND. Kudos to Cornell for great defensive play and goaltending and for picking up the sweep. This UND team will likely be ranked where they should be now…on the bubble. Quote

Technically, Berry is in charge of everything, but I imagine both assistant coaches do some recruiting as well. Quote

I have a feeling we will also not be in 1st place in the NCHC in the not to distant future. Quote

Old Barn Guy at Home Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 I wonder about the effect of having so many "mercenaries" come to the program. Maybe one or two at the most should be considered in the future. Also, recruit a top-level goal tender if the team is going to be so short on offensive talent. Quote
