While I am happy we landed Schweigert and think he will be a contributor for us, I doubt the Bison are overly upset. They have 27 commitments so far and I know they are still hoping to land at least 2-3 more studs who have offers. They are about at their limit already!
UND Football Fan Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 He placed in shot and disc last year at state. He has been playing varsity I think since freshman year. He has decent feet. He is a great instate get. He could be a solid nose guard as he gets more size in my opinion.

You can’t always tell by PWO vs Scholarship nor by who else offers.

Just pointed out that if Bubba or Entz thought he was had a really good chance to be a difference maker they would have offered a scholarship. Not saying he won’t start for 4 years, he might, but they both obviously think other kids are more worthy of a scholarship.

There are a number of factors that come in to play. I believe most coaches at this level believe their PWO’s have a chance to play/contribute. 2

UND Football Fan Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 I know for a fact Brayden Thomas of NDSU was offered a PWO to both schools. He went to Mary and then Mankato and worked his his butt off. These kids can play, however many want to play within a few years and may not want to wait. 1

Family has always been UND fans (parents law school) and a brother that goes to school there already...figured this was going to go Bubba's way.
