Yeah that's why these 4 non counters in AAA are kinda fun to start the season.
-
Oops...yea I see North beat them by 2 TDs and then Dickinson nuked them. Davies v Legacy tonight. Let's see if Legacy is legit or not. 1 v 3 on paper. Central at Dickinson. North at RR. A couple interesting match ups to follow.
-
The fact that Minot North (next year) and Horace are AAA after just a handful of years and the 2 GF schools, Dickinson, Williston and South are with schools the size of Kindred and Central Cass is classic. Competitively, it makes sense I guess. If the schools don't make football a priority, that's the way it is. Fundamentally, with similar enrollments, it's laughable. I honestly don't care either way, I don't have a dog in the fight. I was just curious why radio man is so angry about it.

Also transition....Barman (not sure if that's spelled right) kid from Ray is going on some major visits this fall, including the likes of Ohio State and Oklahoma. Just a SOPH. There is some unreal talent being produced in ND. I believe he currently sits in the top 20 recruits in the entire country for his age group.
-
Those stories are brutal....awkward transition attempt here, but.... Speaking of HS football, anytime AAA/AA or football classifications come up in ND KNOX Ryan has an absolute meltdown. And he usually points the finger at the Bismarck coaches for some reason. Odd stance for a "media" member....anger management issues? trying to fish for clicks? Or is he just a clown?

I'll take ISU and Montana State.

Florida State-SMU. All electronics out the window. No scoreboard. No ipads. No replay. No coach to QB, etc. Old school football perhaps.

Northstar announces a girls program is being added. They have developed an Advisory Board with: Gigi Marvin, Brad Frost and Pete Samardzia. I'm guessing this will put a slight damper on the ND AAA plans. -

This has to be the Bottineau/Rugby dad. Earlier last year he chased a ref around the rink after a game and was banned for the rest of the season. During WDA hockey in Bismarck, he walks in dressed like he's going goose hunting with face paint and everything. Thor Nelson immediately recognizes him and they boot him from the VFW. -

I have heard from the mouth of an AD that a kid can come back and play now. -
Valid points all around. No matter how it's swung, it stings not to have a D1 women's program at schools like UND, Michigan (s), Denver, CC, etc. Meanwhile Bemidji State, St. Cloud...schools like Franklin Pierce are "D1". In a perfect world, Wrestling, Baseball, etc would still be around too. Cash is king.

I'd say scam is a bit overstated, however, maybe not....does one need to take most of the generals associated - let's say Geography - for a Nursing degree?

Absolutely disgusting offense. Literally every adult involved should be gone already. I don't care if they've been doing it for years either.

In more important news, the Fargo Force have applied for a AAA program. FARGO — The Fargo Force organization has applied for 18U boys, 16U boys, 19U girls and 16U girls teams in North Dakota to help support the state’s youth hockey players, the team said Thursday. https://www.inforum.com/sports/prep/fargo-force-apply-for-full-season-teams-at-boys-and-girls-levels That should about be the nail in the coffin for ND HS hockey. -

Back in the day I served on the BHB hockey board. When I first got started I had an old time tell me "good luck with that. the players change, the parents change, but the culture stays the same." Kinda gotta laugh at that looking back...I think he about nailed it. lol. -

Gutted meaning FR leaving. Not having Bantam AA or girls 15U because they'd rather ride the bench in boys or girls HS. Not referring to the administration (one could definitely question the need for one of the big ass salaries) or numbers. -

Pilot Mound...my bad. Some AAA academy in Manitoba. Small community. I don't get it, but whatever. Hockey makes people crazy. -

Well if that's the case there's a handful of Bismarck families taking the cake by sending their kids to f*cking Pilot Mount, MB this year. -

Sounds like it's Tre Kautzman for Legacy. Been on the staff with Mario and then Faragher/Davison. Also sounds like Bismarck Hockey Boosters is getting gutted. Many Fr (boys and girls) wanting to move on from the club, even if it means JV hockey. Sounds like Bantam AA and 15UA might be hard to pull off. -
Could happen, but the trailers are packed and they leave town as soon as the graduation hangover is gone. See, it can still be fun to talk sh*t. Maybe that's just me.
-
That's as made up of a theory as UND hockey players all being 25 year old Canucks. FCS is great football and highly entertaining. And the MWC will be as well. Fun stuff.
-
Lol.... I think UND is stacked and very well could be playing Montana State in the title game and it wouldn't hurt my feelers if that happens. Hope that's OK.

It's actually an infatuation with Izzo's podcast and Fargo media obsession thread.

Unfortunately, it will probably only sell 10K more than that LIU Thursday night barnburner.

Yeah he said the same thing about JMU and etc leaving.
