No line posted yet but for you gambling degenerates Nicholls has covered the spread in 6 of 12 games this season having covered the spread in their last 4 games.

Over the past 24 hours, there’s generally been two emotions when Nicholls fans see the FCS Playoff bracket.

  1. Elation that the Colonels get to host a postseason game for the third year in a row.
  2. Outrage that Central Arkansas is a national seed and Southeastern Louisiana has an objectively easier draw.

I am a huge fan of Around the Horn on ESPN, hosted by Tony Reali.  For those of us who religiously watch the show, we know Mr. Reali is a big NCAA critic as well as a huge FCS fan, especially during the playoffs.

If we truly wanted to get something accomplished in letting the NCAA know it is absolutely garbage that Nicholls is hosting this game, I suggest we all tweet Mr Reali this article in hopes it would get national exposure.

There are several angles here:

1. Inappropriate facilities- tents

2. NCAA being money hungry

3. Nicholls having money for new athletic complex, but not enough for visiting locker rooms

4. Unfairness of the logistics of a tent,  portable showers, toilets,  etc.

5. NCAA's own rule book suggesting hosting universities need certain standards

6. Several others listed on this site.

Perhaps this may be an avenue to publicity for this atrocity we are now seeing in playoff sanctioned NCAA Division 1 FCS Football.

Absolute bull$%!#

How does a person get a message to Sports Illustrated to submit this as a "Signs of the apocalypse" listing that they have each issue?

Signs of the apocalypse: The NCAA chose Nicholls State, Thibodaux, Louisiana to host an FCS playoff game. Their stadium has no locker rooms, showers or bathroom facilities for visiting teams so they are setting up tents.

Anyone know the travel plan?  Weather going to be a huge problem for flights.

If the team does arrive early, I know where there are some tents they could stay in for an extra night or two.

Arranging a flight is not rocket science, or is it? Safe travels to all...

Finding a plane on Thanksgiving weekend isn't rocket science, but it may be harder than getting to space...

Flights out of Fargo into Denver today already cancelled.

I actually feel the score will be very similar to this.

Since it’s the playoffs the NCAA arranges and pays for all travel accommodations

As far as the NCAA is concerned no one has accused them of following their own rules, the $ are what matters

florida state comes to mind

And the storm is heading in Fargo’s direction. Hopefully they are paying attention to the timing and path of the storm.
