What's it take to light a fire under the guys? You were playing for a #1 seed at a friendly/close regional and couldn't get it done in front of a pro UND crowd. At the very least this is puzzling to me. Quote
petey23 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 UND built there season and ranking early in the year. I think what people are failing to take into consideration is that UNO is clearly a better team than UND at this point in the season. 1 Quote
TwamleyShuffle Posted March 23 Posted March 23 For those concerned about UND not winning the conference championship. Dating back to 2015, only two NCAA champs won their conference tournament. UMass and UMD Quote

Maybe if UND were currently skating hard & giving it their all and still losing I would agree with you that UNO is better now. It's hard to draw a comparison between two teams when one is barely trying. Quote

SIOUXELEVENS Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Been a season ticket holder since 1984 and in all off Gino’s, Blais and Hakstol years I never heard once that the und hockey team seems soft and now about every year somebody brings that up. The only player that showed some fire last night was 28. 1 Quote
GeauxSioux Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Win the next four games and much of this conversation dies. @gfhockey being the exception. Quote
petey23 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 In the 16 possible outcomes for the 4 remaining games tonight, a Denver win would get UMass into the tournament and likely send UND to Springfield. An Omaha win will get CC in the tournament and likely send us to Missouri except possibly if AIC, BC, and Michigan all win as well...then it is a tie to the first 4 numbers after the decimal point which I didn't find but from what I read that would favor UMass Quote
TwamleyShuffle Posted March 23 Posted March 23 When do they do the final vote for the Hobey? Is it after or before the regionals? Quote

Wilbur Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Watching some of the Sparty-Wolves highlights....boy is our d zone gonna be pressed if it's the Wolves. I think Michigan's goaltending is sketchy. 5th year kid, but there are times he's a fish out of water. On a side note it's good to see people pack Munn Ice Arena again. I think that's a direct correlation to them forechecking again. 1 Quote

But this guy has won four of the last five NCHC regular-season titles, and this year turned over more than half his roster, and won it again. Yes the transfer portal is a gift to schools like this, but Berry and his staff still need to find the right guys and make it work. 3 Quote
