tnt
Maybe if Boardwalk would have just disguised it as a protest, Minnesota would have taken the hands off approach of "nothing to see here".

Oxbow6
Walz set to extend "pause" through 1/15. For the sake of businesses, restaurants, bars and youth/HS sports I hope my source if wrong.
The Sicatoka
Allow me to save EGF and Polk County some authoring. Others may adopt as they may choose. However, my recommendation would be to adopt it in executive session, publish it quietly, and then invite the Governor and AG and see how well they are keeping up on local law. WHEREAS: The pandemic is a serious public health concern; and WHEREAS: The Governor has statewide restrictions on business in place due to the pandemic; and WHEREAS: The pandemic would never be used for personal political gain by any public entity or official; and WHEREAS: Infection of a state official in our jurisdiction would be a great tragedy and embarrassment to the jurisdiction, THEREFORE: We the duly elected and sworn council take actions as follows: HERETOFORE: Any statewide elected official present in [legal jurisdiction here] shall at minimum TRIPLE any mask wearing mandate set for the State by the Governor; HEREBY ENACTED: [ dated ] PENALTY: Failure to comply with this jurisdictional law mandates a personal fine (to be paid from the official's personal funds, with no State reimbursement) TRIPLE the greatest single fine issued to any entity under the Governor's statewide restrictions plus two nights incarceration in the jurisdictional holding facility. Failure to comply with this section (failure to pay fine) mandates the penalties of this section again plus no fewer than 180 days incarceration in the jurisdictional holding facility (no exceptions for any request, e.g. special health circumstances). Oxbow6
Fargo has benefited from the MN "pause" and will continue to do so over the holidays. Was in GF Sunday......Rhombus was hopping. ND HS winter sports got rolling with games on Monday. Legend's and Brewtus Brickhouse in Clay County plan to give Walz the middle finger and reopen. Same goes for The Boardwalk and Joe's Diner in Polk. Go support these establishments if possible this weekend.

Mama Sue
Well NCAA has recommended unvaccinated student athletes wear masks, get weekly COVID tests, and be quarantined if exposed to the virus. Vaccinated student athletes will not be tested. They also can remain in practice with masks for up to 14 days and not be quarantined. Unvaccinated individuals need to mask and practice social distancing in all situations except practice and competition. Everyone needs to mask for travel snd indoor settings. Can not quite get a vision on the practical application of all of this….. just saying! 1

Then you do everything you can to put yourself in a position to be successful. Get in the weight room, the film room, get your workouts in, keep your grades up, stay out of trouble, and do everything you can to help your teammates be successful. You have an obligation to be ready to play. Next man up means you are ready to play and have prepared yourself physically and mentally to compete and do your best. That includes taking care of your health. That means you get vaccinated. It is safe and very effective. The mask protocols are different and a separate argument. Before going into combat you train, you prepare mentally and physically. You get updated with multiple shots. Sometimes you take anti malaria meds and sometimes you take anti nerve agents that are still being studied. You do that because more than anything you don’t want to let your fellow soldiers down. Combat teams just like sports teams rely on each other and you have to count on each other to do their job. The evidence of the safety and efficacy of the COVID vaccines is overwhelming. The coaches and players are stuck with NCAA guidelines. The masks are a minor irritation that can’t be allowed to detract from the focus and mental preparation to be successful on the field. The sooner people are vaccinated, the sooner we can quit arguing about masks and the sooner the politicians can move on to something else to screw up. 3

Covid Outbreak Hits Carnival Cruise Despite Every Guest and Staff Member Being ‘Vaccinated’ I could attach 100 suppressed articles like this. I can believe the NCAA wants to control this down to when you can take a dump, but this isn't a simple issue. I pray the players don't subject themselves to the jab cause most of them have had C-19 already anyway. It's a virus and these players are very low risk. The jab is sketchy AF, no long term data, variants coming every election cycle, etc. The long term health of these players is more important than a season of FB. 2
