Absolutely.  However my statement still stands.   Jacksonville St. is playing terrible football thus far.

I am looking forward to watching UND football take the next step in the process next year. Hopefully, some of the players are watching this game and envisioning themselves playing in the championship game and doing what it takes to get there.

This game and the playoffs show 2 things:

1) The gap between SU and the rest of the FCS

2) How badly UND got screwed by being left out of playoffs.  JSU sucks.

Well, we better get our !@#$ together, because apparently we're the only team in the country who can figure out how to beat these guys.  Texas and Alabama teams can't figure it out.  Although with Carson starting, they were pretty much hosed.

Watching how Jacksonville plays in all aspects just goes to show how screwed up  the bracketing for the playoffs really was.    They  can't even hand the ball off.

Carson's draft stock is rising and I love it.

I'd say he has not done anything to hurt himself.  The key to his draft position will still be the week of the Senior Bowl.  Don't want to take anything away from Carson but NDSU would still be leading by 21 with Stick at QB.

How long will they be able to hang on to Chris Klieman in Fargo?

Just speculating, but does the fact that Bohl has tanked so far hurt Klieman's FBS job prospects?

Hell no. He went to Wyoming. That place is a death trap for coaching.

Wyoming is and has been a grave yard for coaches........one only goes there to get paid.

But if Bohl couldn't get a better job than Wyoming, who is to say Klieman can? Or was it more Bohl's past personal issues that prevented him from getting a better job?

I think the fact that Bohl built the monster would have a bigger impact. Klieman inherited a pretty nice job. He could very well be a great coach (I have no idea), but I think he'll need to prove himself a few more years if he wants a good HC opportunity.

No question the seeding was screwed up and had an agenda.

The committee called for Illinois State to tank it at home in order to clear the path for the Bison?

As much as it hurts to say it, congrats to the Bison. Wentz is a stud and it will be interesting to see how his professional career turns out.

Any chance Klieman lands an FBS gig for next year?

When you go undefeated on your way to a third championship in a row and the best you can do is a head coach at Wyoming.

Kleiman's phone might ring but it probably won't be anything he would want to take.

Kleiman has only proved he can keep steering the boat straight. If Kleiman can win more championships at NDSU than Bohl his phone might ring more.

I think a good example of why NDSU wins and some of these high flying teams don't win are the little things.  Like on that punt early in the game where the ball hit around the 25 yard line or so and bounced towards the goal line.......the Jacksonville guy half assed downing the ball before going in the end zone and it rolled into the end zone.  Instead of NDSU getting the ball on the 3 they got it at the 20. If NDSU was covering that punt (or hopefully UND for that matter) they would have made a better effort to down the ball and they would have.  Some of these high flying teams think they have the natural talent to just win.  You do have to have good talent, but if you have to have a good defense and play sound fundamental football across the board, and nobody does it better than NDSU right now.
