Only the overtly willing weak minded that already wear the tin foil hats will buy it. They're voting for Trump anyway. I wonder if this will just sway more undecideds to Biden? I've been spending some time calling for Biden and the Democrats. I've done this for years. Two key questions get a lot of affirmative answers. From independents and Democrats. Did you vote for all the Democrats? Have you already voted? Others are interesting also. But, Trump is driving folks to even vote against local Republicans that have held their offices for a long time. Reason? Can't trust Republicans anymore. Too bad. Some decent local Republican public servants are going away. Also, Democrats are voting in abnormally high numbers. That is not normal. The political landscape is entirely different this year. I think the ‘scandal’ will help Trump shore up some of the Red vote. It’ll help in the south. Most importantly Florida. Nonetheless it will make no difference with the complacent democrat and minority vote; two demographics whose turn-out was low 4 years ago who look to be voting at high levels this time around. There are few undecided this year. It'll come down to turnout/motivation; hence why the GOP is doing everything it can to impede easy access to voting. We'll see.
The Sicatoka
Neither Mister Biden nor Misses Harris are on the trail today, just 17 days out. Nodak78
"These and more explosive never-before-revealed emails were provided to Schweizer by Bevan Cooney, a one-time Hunter Biden and Devon Archer business associate. Cooney is currently in prison serving a sentence for his involvement in a 2016 bond fraud investment scheme. In 2019, Cooney reached out to Schweizer after becoming familiar with the revelations in his 2018 book Secret Empires. Cooney explained that he believes he was the “fall guy” for the fraud scheme and that Archer and Hunter Biden had avoided responsibility. Archer, who was also convicted in the case, saw a federal judge vacate his conviction. But an appellate court overturned the lower court judge’s ruling, reinstating Archer’s conviction in the case. Archer, Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner, awaits sentencing. Cooney, their associate who is currently serving a prison sentence on his conviction in the matter, later reestablished contact with Schweizer through investigative journalist Matthew Tyrmand. From prison, Cooney provided Schweizer with written authorization, his email account name, and password to his Gmail account to retrieve these emails. He authorized, in writing, the publication of these emails— notable because it is the first time a close associate has publicly confirmed Hunter’s trading on his father’s influence." https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/10/16/exclusive-this-is-china-inc-emails-reveal-hunter-bidens-associates-helped-communist-aligned-chinese-elites-secure-white-house-meetings/

Yet thousands of women marched yesterday in NYC, LA and DC yesterday to protest DT and ACB. Orthodox Jews aren't permitted in synagogues in NYC due to mass gathering bans. In the LA area many beaches are still closed due to mass gathering and social distancing policies. In DC the March was allowed up to have 10000 protesters because Harris is in quarantine and Joey B is back in his basement exhausted from his recent townhall meeting.
NoiseInsideMyHead
Read this (relax, it's Sports Illustrated) about testing and let me know if your confidence in the approach taken by the government and other policy makers to managing positive results isn't the least bit shaken. https://www.si.com/college/2020/10/17/nick-saban-covid-test-alabama-georgia Instead of letting common sense (i.e., symptoms plus clinical corroboration) dictate the COVID response, we've capitulated to the unprecedented mass testing of healthy individuals, and then found ourselves in situations like this. Quote TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — About a month ago, some 600 miles west of here, a Texas A&M soccer player registered positive for COVID-19 during a routine PCR test conducted by the SEC. Convinced she did nothing to put herself at risk, the player sought her own test from the student health center on the College Station campus. The result returned negative. Over the next few days, the school tested the player three more times, producing all negative results. The soccer player was cleared by the SEC office and then, days later on Oct. 3, the conference’s COVID task force drafted a new item to its 34-page medical guidance policy to address false positive tests. ... Without the soccer incident, without the hurried change to the policy and without a rushed test to a Mobile-based lab on Saturday morning, Saban wouldn’t be in such a position. He’d instead be quarantined for another several days over an initial positive test that, physicians say, was likely due to either a lab error, faulty equipment or, maybe most likely, incremental traces of viral matter that were at first detected but then had dissipated during subsequent testing. Even the scientist defending the testing methodology as being reliable admits that the true false positive rate is unknown not for a scientific reason, but for a financial one. Quote As for false positives with PCR tests, they are rare without a lab error. Baird’s lab has conducted 900,000 tests and though he doesn’t have a specific number, he’s seen a false positive “only a few times.” “At most, it’s 1-2%, but it’s probably quite a bit less,” he says. “It’s incredibly unlikely.” The numbers, though, don’t necessarily take into account retesting every positive. “Very few people can afford or have the ability to get three subsequent tests,” he says. So we'll never know the true false positive rate because people get locked up by the government in their homes for two weeks on the 'strength' of the first test and won't have a sufficient battery of subsequent tests performed. The fact remains that the specificity, sensitivity, and reliability of COVID testing remain very much in doubt, and if you're not questioning what's going on here, you ought to be. Yet, we have populist drivel and uninformed nonsense like this:

In a single minded approach, false positives don’t matter because it still allows a person to defend quarantining a person “out of an abundance of caution” and “better safe than sorry”. Never mind that this person quarantining could mean time away from a job that they need to pay bills(legally they can’t fire you, but they don’t have to pay you). Its time for people to see the whole picture instead of dogmatically adhering to our current approach that is decimating people’s lives financially. Bison06
I’d be interested to hear from any of our left leaning friends on here and their thoughts on this Twitter and Facebook scandal. Even if you say the story is unconfirmed, how can a story written by a journalist at the country’s fourth largest newspaper be censored? This is outrageous regardless of how you feel about the story. These people need to be in front of congress Monday morning getting their butts handed to them.
