Mark Kennedy, president of the University of North Dakota, is the sole finalist in the search. The Board of Regents was unanimous in its recommendation to name Kennedy as finalist, according to a news release. Can't blame him for leaving. He walked into a mess here at UND. Besides the nickname and logo fiasco, he had to make tough decision regarding the budget and cut what needed to be cut in order to make UND viable for years to come.
