I have to admit that if Nodaks ends up winning, I can almost guarantee I will laugh every single time the public address announcer at the REA yells "Here comes your University of North Dakota Nodaks!!" because of how bad it sounds.

Anyway, how about at the beginning of games when the announcer says, "Here comes your University of North Dakota...NoDaks?!?  Or, "Here comes your University of North Dakota Roughriders!"  Rolls off the tongue much better and just "fits" imo.

This is a lot like having to go pick out bathroom tile and you only have 5 really lame options.  The problem is you have to pick one and will have to live with it for a very long time.  This really sucks!  The only good news for me is that I won't be disappointed that one particular name doesn't make it.  I might just draw one name out of a hat for voting purposes.

Sundogs = Pink tile

North Stars = Yellow tile

Fighting Hawks = Purple tile

Roughriders = A timeless white subway tile

i like the history angle with Nodaks but ND is the roughrider state and UND is the state's flagship university so it makes sense to me to be the roughriders

When I was 18 and just started to vote..  my dad said if you have not done your homework - don't vote.  In this case, if you are drawing out of a hat. .. you might not want to vote.

We really missed on this one. Why was an option not the University of North Dakota Creatures. We have a built-in mascot!
