For refence, NDSU hoped for 10k versus YSU and only got 6400.

Has the full appetite for live events returned?

Until all 3k are sold, 3k is not an issue.

It kind of is, because currently it costs too much for a ticket, and they jacked up the ticket prices because there are so few seats.

Football outdrew hockey Saturday and football tickets are about 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a hockey ticket.

The Ralph could cut ticket prices in half and nearly double the attendance at 50% capacity.

They would make a lot more doing this than what they are making now... Double concessions and double Sioux shop sales...

Haven’t heard that they are on sale yet.

Not on sale yet but NCAA to limit attendance at Scheels to 1500.

Went to Davies/Sheyenne BBB game a couple weeks ago......close to 1000 in the gym.

Take this for what it is, but kind of makes sense. What I heard is that other teams didn't want any fans allowed for the tourney so 3,000 it is.

That doesn't make any sense since the league makes money off fan attendance. Any amount of revenue from attendance makes the conference a little bit of money.

Other teams not wanting fans in a tournament held at the home of the best team in the league and has the largest fan base doesn't make any sense to you?

From a financial standpoint it makes no sense at all. UND has a good chance of winning the whether there are fans in the stands or not.

Compromise. Have each team buy 500 tickets at... lets go with $250/each as a fair price and they can use them how they see fit. that limits UND to 500 tickets and helps cover the finances.

Does this idea stick the landing from a mental gymnastics standpoint though?

Good one, but I’m not falling for the trick question.  Neither of Denver’s  fans has a job.

We have a winner!!

You don't count writing for LetsGoDU as a job?

So 1-8 and 2-7 are west/east, which is nice.  It's a pity that, assuming Denver wins another and reaches fifth, 3-6 and 4-5 will be match-ups between teams that are sick of each other.

UND vs. Miami is locked as the first round 1-8.

SCSU vs. Duluth battle for the right to play CC.  Loser gets Western.

Omaha vs. Denver a likely lock in the 4-5 game.

Western locked in at 6.

Western is playing good at the right time. They are going to be a tough out in the conference tournament as they need the auto bid. Denver in same boat.

Going to be an interesting conference tournament or at least it should be.

Mmmm.....predictions.....based on SCSU beating Duluth for the 2 seed.

UND vs. Miami....UND

SCSU vs. CC.....SCSU

Duluth vs. Western....Western

Denver vs. Omaha......Denver

Forecast

Round 1 winners: UND, St. Cloud, Western, Omaha

Round 2 winners: UND, Western

Champ: UND

I believe under your first round scenario that UND and WMU would play in the semi finals.

I really don't understand why the NCHC didn't do it ND state tourney style of 1w vs 4e, 2w vs 3e and so on.

Guess they are re-seeding after first round according to Schloss.
