People can still 'live their lives' while large gatherings are prohibited. The two aren't mutually exclusive. Yea it royally sucks, (especially for our players) but shutting down large gatherings/sporting events is the prudent course of action; at least in the short-term considering we know jack squat about the virus. The lack of knowledge about COVID-19 is the elephant in the room. Do we have an antidote? No. Do we have a full picture of the symptoms and severity? No. Do we know exactly how fast it spreads and how many people are infected? No. Do we know whether it will have a high propensity to mutate? No. Does this country have an abundance of testing supplies and access to such? No. Nobody sane agrees with the hysteria, doomsday predictions and fear mongering in the media, but that doesn't mean serious precaution shouldn't be taken; at least until we have a solid understanding of the situation we're in. As always, the middle-ground is the most rational. 5

And now in the midst of a global pandemic, their main goal is not to inform and educate, but rather manipulate statements and data all in the goal of trashing everyone tasked with making the difficult decisions. 10 6
