This was hard to watch, UND looked really bad for most of the game on both offense and defense.  Vrede (sp) should play almost every down at ILB, he plays fast and actually wraps up when tackling.  This was a very ugly game for UND and specifically the LB play.

Without the special teams scores it wasnt close.  Injuries hurt, but the tackling sucked and the play calling sucked the second half on both sides of the ball.

If everyone is healthy do we win the game????  I dunno....

Radio said time after time that their LB speed was killing us getting to the edges. John or Izzy mightve challenged it a little more.

However our passing game was doing very well end of 1st half and it seemed we got more conservative.

Ket can’t throw the out route.

Disappointed with how the offense and defense played today

Disappointing for sure.  Glad to see what und is like vs a top 10 team. They need speed and Rudy is horrid.  The D was not good either.  This team needs speed to contend.   Weber exposed that majorly today.

Kett did not play very well, especially in 2nd half, overall offense was awful in 2nd half.  Defense did not play well either, Weber must have dominated TOP.

Typical 2nd half play.     Second half adjustments kill this team vs ok teams and worse vs good teams.

Couple things in the big picture, before breaking it down, the final score is big. The playoff committee (pure guess) will look at records and score, I doubt many of them were actually watching this game (safe bet). The loss is tough, but the final score was 35-30 against the #4 team in the country. UND still controls their destiny.

To the game itself, this game is 100% on the UND defense. Forget field position (which was bad), ST scored 14 points. The offense who didn't have decent field position the entire day held their own against a great Weber State defense. If you look at the Weber offense heading into the game (20% 3rd down, QB pulled twice for poor play), this is all on them. I can honestly say I've never been more surprised. This is all on the defense, they were pathetic as a group. A lot of this has to go on coaching. To go from 20% to over 50% on first downs is insane. I'm truly shocked by this.

Importance of a football season is not to get too low, the reason they lost were on a unit we know is solid. This is an important learning lesson. Sucks that his was another truly big opportunity they failed at (again).

Beat Idaho and everything this team has worked for is still in front of them. This isn't a bad team, just didn't perform today (defense ).
