GeauxSioux Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 We have the OSU/Notre Dame on to pass the time until the Sioux game. Notre Dame tied it up in the second. The main reason for this post is that I saw an old Sioux blackhawk jersey in the first row. Sioux fans are everywhere. Should probably have posted this in the "Power of the Jersey" thread. Quote
brianvf Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 Drew Shore from DU signed. He was a junior. I would guess Zucker will be close behind him. Quote
brianvf Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 DU loses their 2nd player in 2 days. Zucker has signed with the Wild. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 DU loses their 2nd player in 2 days. Zucker has signed with the Wild. I'm a bit surprised at Zucker's jumping so soon. I think Denver's line-up might actually be better than Minnesota's next season. The Wild, that is, not the Gophers. Quote

Big A HG Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 One of the year's best articles: "The midnight gesture of Shawn Hunwick" http://www.michigand...e-shawn-hunwick I had already heard about what Hunwick had done, but that was a great read that puts it all into perspective. It makes me hate Michigan just a little bit less, even if it's microscopically less. Quote

brianvf Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 UMD Sophomore JT Brown signed with Tampa Bay. Quote
MissSioux85 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 SCSU goaltender Mike Lee has signed with the Phoenix Coyotes http://coyotes.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=624852 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 SCSU goaltender Mike Lee has signed with the Phoenix Coyotes http://coyotes.nhl.c...s.htm?id=624852 Lee gives up a year of college. Ryan Faragher gets the whole load for SCSU. Quote
InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Saw Zucker's last game as a collegiate player and will see his 1st as a pro tonight. That's the 1st time I can ever say that about any hockey player! I guess I'll get to see directly how skills translate to the pros. Quote
Goon Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 SCSU goaltender Mike Lee has signed with the Phoenix Coyotes http://coyotes.nhl.c...s.htm?id=624852 Thanks for sharing and that is kind of shocking. Just a bit of trivia Lee was 0-6-1 against UND. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 UND would rather see Mike Lee in the net than Farragher.... Everyone knew that Duluth was going to lose Brown, but my goodness do they lose a ton of points overall. Add to that the fact they lose Reiter and they've got a rebuilding year on the horizon. Quote
Siouxman Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 So, what are the odds that Dinkytown is checking into beefing up security on April 7, based on past history, just in case the Gophers do pull off the unexpected? Quote
Sodbuster Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Never thought I would say this but......(teeth gritted) c'mon BC! Quote

82SiouxGuy Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Frattin did it last year! I believe the poster meant that they were in attendance for Zucker's last game as a collegiate and his first game as a pro. And that this was the first time they had done that for any player. Quite a few have gone straight from college to the NHL. Quote
gfhockey Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Source told me Jutting contract has not been renewed. Quote

crb1 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 That is to bad about Troy Juting. I thought he was one of those characters of hockey. I suppose they needed a change but best of luck to you Troy. Quote
choyt3 Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Let the speculation begin... Guentzel? Eades? Steve Johnson? Will the pool of applicants be smaller because of the "new" leagues? Quote
