I watched Brad Malone play for Bakersfied Condors last night against hometown Colorado Eagles. Pony is wearing the C for Condors. He clearly is a leader on the ice. Playing center on top line.

His cap hit is $750,000+ this season; not a bad living for a 33-year-old.

The Wings are better than the Sharks, and have much better young players than the Sharks (Seider, Raymond) so I have no idea what you are talking about regarding NHL purgatory. I suspect you don't either.
