Popular Post The Sicatoka Posted September 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2022 I say we fire Bubs, hire @gfhockey and if no first year Natty we fire him (and deport him to Duluth where he seems he’d rather be at times). And if he does win a Natty, if it’s not back to back … fired. 5 Quote

Wilbur Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Extremely ballsy yet thought through move by Sergei Fedorov in the KHL. I've often thought that teams should pull the goalie off gained possession in OT to give yourself a 4-3 advantage. More of a risk in college hockey with pairwise OT losses being what they are, but if you're playing a team like Denver where an OT loss isn't going to hurt too much why the heck not? Surprised to not see it more honestly. All that space out there. Quote

If we provide our goaltender with more goal support then we won’t need to nitpick the goaltending as much *by “we” I mean UND* I say it's ok for you to say "we" and anyone who disagrees with us is a jerk 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 I'm still stunned by the data that shows DeRidder faced 35 shots per game last season (Michigan State) and UND goalies faced 25 shots per game. Quote

Green Banner Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Why does college hockey have limits on hours coaches can be with the team prior to the season? Quote

stoneySIOUX Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Forward lines today at practice: Costantini - Schmaltz - Blake James - McLaughlin - Gaber Caulfield - Jammer - Sendo Hain - Strinden - Portz Albrecht - Kunz These are 100% different than the lines yesterday, so don't look too hard into these. Fun to see some ideas, though. LOVE the 2nd and third line. Was also told to that apparently Hain tested off the charts with all the Iron Man stuff. Great to hear that. 1 Quote

The Sicatoka Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Two freshmen centers. Two freshmen on a line with a guy who is reasonably* responsible defensively. Yeah-no, those are lines for practice and experimentation. *Game day I'd expect that word to be 'exceptionally'. 1 Quote
