Big Lubowski Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 "Logically," based on what happened yesterday, the top five this week would probably be something like this: 1) James Madison 2) Weber St. 3) Kennesaw 4) Nicholls 5) UND Quote

Popular Post geaux_sioux Posted February 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 28, 2021 One more thing. I was really impressed with how the team did the knee thing yesterday. At first I was thinking “oh !@#$” when they knelt. But when the video then said they were going to stand for the anthem as a team I was relieved and impressed. Can’t handle that issue better than that. Great job to the program on that. 4 3 Quote

And I know, who cares about the polls, but they do affect who's in the playoffs so no harm in watching them. Quote

Interception gained us like 7 yards. Not the worst outcome at all and he avoided the sack. Tommy might not blow anyone away but he absolutely has the "it" factor. 3 Quote

In watching the replays, he hit Maag in stride 20 yards down the field on the one pass. On Maag's TD Tommy looked left first, then came back to Maag on the right and threw it on the money. He had a couple other nice throws too. It's only his 3rd game....he will only get better. In watching the crazy Weah 40 yard TD run.....look at Ventrelli hustling down the field....he was only a few yards behind Weah. The fumble popped right up to Weah, but great hustle by Ventrelli to be that far down the field and be in position to scrum for the ball if it bounced sideways instead. 1 6 Quote
homer Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 ^^^ is what has been impressive so far. His team seems to really play for one another so far. Winning will certainly do that. Hustle plays everywhere. 2 Quote
Popular Post iramurphy Posted February 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 28, 2021 First two games are a great lesson for young players, coaches and fans. How important the offensive and Defensive/LB play and special team play is. The key to Schuster’s play has been protecting the ball and no sacks. He has a great group of receivers. One TO in 2 games is good regardless of your experience. His int was the one terrible play in 2 games. Maag was open and Skokna 7 yds further outside had no one near him. He has over thrown some open guys but overall has been very effective. Seems to have a very mature demeanor. Reminds me of Reed Manke. Doesn’t make mistakes and remains focused. This is also a great lesson for those who think firing coaches is the answer to struggles. Patience is important as we rebuild programs. The coaches patience and belief in these players and their abilities is paying off. No easy games this year, this team has great potential. Need to stay healthy. Go Hawks. 3 6 Quote

Also Otis hit a Jacks defensive line man head on and spun off of him before he could wrap up Otis. Otis is a special player. So happy for him as he overcame the studies issues. Life lessons Learn early. 1 Quote
UND1983 Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Amazing how much better the TEAM seems after having defections this past year. Nobody complaining about 'touches'. 1 Quote
