That many people died yesterday from eating ice cream too fast and their brain literally froze. Clearly, these stats show coronavirus isn't a problem. Love ice cream, hate the brain freeze side effect. Maybe this is an opportunity to shut down the country for months on end until we finally develop a vaccine for ice cream headaches. Redneksioux
South Dakota now houses one of the nation's largest coronavirus hot spots The CDC recommended no gatherings of 10 plus people. The SD governor touted "we are not NY" and wanted to leave the decision to the people. Now South Dakota is home to one of the largest coronavirus clusters in the United States. The meat packing plant situation is a mess. Had the story on local news last night. Sounds like the ownership was negligent in trying to keep sick employees coming back to work. It was considered an essential business. Had nothing to do with what Gov Noem did or didn't do. 438 confirmed infected from that plant is alarming though. BTW.......welcome back. SIOUXFAN97
"However, Gov. Doug Burgum has previously said that the cases are reported based on patients' mailing addresses rather than their actual location in the state, so it is unknown where infected patients are quarantining or seeking medical help." shouldn't the state at least know where the people that test positive are while they are quarantining? The fundamentals are going to be lousy for awhile, and dividends and buybacks aren’t likely to be happening anytime soon. That said, all of that is likely already priced into the markets. You also have a Fed making unprecedented moves and statements...talking about buying equities...already thry’ve taken over the bond market. At the end of the day it’s supply and demand...where are people (And institutions) going to park their money? to me it all boils down to this: would you kick yourself harder for missing a 20% gainer (opportunity cost) or for losing 20% of what you have? Probably also depends on how much you have to begin with. clearly you can diversify (which is always smart) its a mixed bag out there. I personally am very conservative right now: 65% cash, 25% stock, and 10% private equity. Dividend paying stocks still have a hill to climb. But companies with products in development are still good buys- e.g. biotech, smaller hi tech, as long as they have cash . The 5G comp INSG has climbed from 2 to 12 after starting at 9 because it's WIFI routers are in such demand now because of all the new at home workers
northernraider
Just throwing this piece of meat tidbit out to the masses. Wayne County (Detroit) has the 6th most COVID (11,600) cases and 3rd most deaths. Not having the Frozen Four this year may have been a great idea after all. I'll hang-up and wait for the flamethrowing

Look at New Orleans ummmm...not sure where you have come up with this...If you want to go by ethnicity in the USA and blood type, 26% of African Americans have type A blood whereas 40% of people of European ancestry have type A blood. Let's be careful in bringing in ethnicity. Not saying you're a crazy, but even broaching the subject can bring in crazies.
