forksandspoons Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Ugly. In other news, USD and Stony Brook won. And NAU is up 14-3 on the almighty Griz early. Quote
Feff Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 That was an incredibly ugly game. When you make ISU look halfway decent, you know it's a bad day. 2 Quote
darell1976 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 We win!!! Still first place in the BSC. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Ugly... but it is a win, and that is all that matters right now Quote
UNDColorado Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 We survived the trap game. I was sort of worried about this one. Today was really sloppy so I anticipate a good week of practice. See y'all at the Weber game! 2 Quote
CMSioux Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 I suppose we drop in the polls because of style points - a 6 game win streak means nothing to those who vote on reputation. Quote
Sioux94 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 That was an ugly game. I said before this game there will be a game this year where we are just off........and will we still be able to win that game when it happens. It was an ugly game...but it's still a W. Quote
Cratter Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 7 point win against Idaho st. Drop two spots. Quote
UND Fan Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 This will appropriately halt all the talk about our deserving to be seeded high in the playoffs. 1 Quote
geaux_sioux Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 Anyone think we could have played worse? Me neither. Get back to GF and rest and get ready for a solid Weber team. A nice slice of humble pie for us over confident types. We aint there yet and we don't have a buy till after our regular season. We just need to hope we can limp our way to the playoffs and take in the bye. If we play like that against Weber they will eat our lunch. 3 Quote

UNDMOORHEAD Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Well a win is a win. Learn and grow come back better next week. Quote

SiouxBoys Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Good teams find a way to win games even when they don't play well. Quote
Popular Post Oxbow6 Posted October 22, 2016 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2016 Bad win >>> quality loss. 6 in a row is never a bad thing. 8 Quote
old school Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Isn't this great! A couple years ago we would have been thankful for a 6 game win streak and being ranked now we're bitchin about a 7 point win and maybe dropping in the pole 3 Quote
Nodak78 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 If I remember correctly some team beat us into the playoff with 6. Wins. Quote

geaux_sioux Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016 I take full responsibility for todays lackluster performance. I've been drinking exclusively lagers on gamedays and today I went with Hefeweizens and golden ales..... we got lucky. Next week it's back to the Labat. My bad. 1 Quote
nodak651 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Anyone else think Gordon needs more snaps? He's killed it this year whenever he gets the chance! Quote

It's almost like teams relax when they don't see Oliviera or Santiago in the backfield. Doesn't hurt that Gordon hits the hole with good speed and he has enough vision to make the cutback. He kind of reminds me a bit of Santiago last year. Takes the cutbacks that are there, but otherwise puts his head down to get what yards he can. This year Santiago looks to be pushing too hard to bounce it. Quote
ND1 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 A win is a win, we shouldn't drop in the same polls Quote
77iceman Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Bad games happen. Have your bad game against a bad team and get the win...I'm ok with that. just move on. Quote
