Still, it is not the schools that will be paying.  Athletes would get paid outside of school for helping advertise a business or their name/likeness being used with a product.  Only the top athletes at any school will be able to benefit from it.  Most kids won't benefit from it.

Memphis told them to pound sand and played the kid anyway based on an injunction. What a disaster.

NCAA has threatened the state of SD with a lawsuit if they end up signing their new transgender sports law. Does that mean they would not allow SD to host any post season tournaments?

not sure where the feminists are when these people are fighting for men to play women in sports....... crazy

the NCAA is at it again trying to bully state to comply or otherwise face punishment to public colleges.

The NCAA needs to be sued for violating title 9 and not protecting women athletes.

Tom Miller must be of the comply type.....

North Dakota Senate sends transgender athlete bill to Gov. Doug Burgum's desk

https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/government-and-politics/6986821-North-Dakota-Senate-sends-transgender-athlete-bill-to-Gov.-Doug-Burgums-desk

So if Bergum signs this bill, what will this mean for UND and NDSU specifically in regards to NCAA post season games being played in ND?  This bill is different from the one in Montana mentioned above because it affects only K-12 and not college.  But that doesn't mean the NCAA can't do whatever the hell they want.

I think it's up to 30 states now.  The NCAA is going to run into some big problems and several lawsuits from a lot of states if they plan on going forward with banning post season tournaments in those states.

Does anyone remember when Sports Writers were crusty and gruff and chain smoked and threw a little something something in their black coffee that they drank out of a Styrofoam cup? They wrote from a more masculine  world view and were guy's guys and you didn't know or care what their political views were. Think Soucheray and Reusse.

Not saying they were perfect but definitely preferable to the soy latte drinking, tofu eating, beta cucks that seem to cover sports these days.

You're not lying.  I would say the vast majority of sports writers these days are bleeding hearts.
