Anyone know if we recruited Hampton Slukynsky out of Warroad?

Really good in the net and was a guy I wanted. I'd gladly have 3-4 committed off that Warroad team including him and Shagubay.

Maybe the staff should try too flip this commitment.

His brother Grant committed to Northern Michigan. Was with FForce a couple years but now I think with Omaha or Sioux Falls. I thought Grant was top MN top HS scorer his senior year. Might be tough to flip if brother still committed to NMU.

I see hennen from hallock going to augie also

quitnthe class they putting together down there

Raboin is well liked and respected by players. Great recruiter. With Morton as AD, new arena and Sanford money I would expect them to do well given time.

We did flip Hedquist from CC, or at least he reopened his recruitment.  Hedquist was similar to Keegan Karki and Matej Tomek, they were thought to be huge gets.  We have no idea how Hedquist will end up playing, but I don't think his stock is as high as it was when he was younger.  I think with goalies, it is nice to see how they do at the Junior level before offering.  There are plenty of late bloomers that have a high ceiling.  Slukynsky might end up being a stud, but there is no guarantee.

A local kid I hope we have at least shown interest in is Roseau's Noah Urness. Impressive speed/skill combo.

What about Carson Pilgrim from Warroad?

I’d like them to go larger in net. We all want potential first round forward and defenseman recruits so can they recruit goalies that are at least big enough to even get scouted in the nhl…

Wondering if Tyler Hennen from Kittson Central has college potential.  They play a soft schedule, but averaging 5 points and a hat trick a game, must have some potential considering the other teams are probably keying on him.  Would imagine he will need to prove he can do it against better competition.

I saw him play last night. He has good size.  They got beat 6-4 by DL in round 1 of Sec 8.  DL is good but not great. Hennen  had one assist. I think he will need a year or 2 of juniors to develop.  He looked like a very good HS player.  Doesn’t have a lot of help so tough to say but I’m not the guy to evaluate. I may have expected too much.
