The obvious is each state has their own set of rules and people by and large have no clue what the rules are in other states (or even in their own). The differences make it easy to cast doubt. It's almost like we knew 7 months ago there was a possibility at a change in how the election was going to be done, yet very few states (or the federal government) took steps to help lessen possible issues. Both sides are to blame for it. Each state has there own rules when it comes to absentee, mail in and early vote counting. Michigan tried to change their law in this regard so they could have them all counted so the result would be available on election day but for some reason their legislators voted it down. Go figure.
SiouxBoys Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Another 100 million spent to try and unseat Susan Collins and Joni Ernst down the drain. Over 300 million spent in four Senate race losses for dems.

SiouxFan100 Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 I went to bed last night thinking that Trump had won. Biden was so far behind in Pennsylvania. I didn’t realize that Biden could still win without Pennsylvania until later this morning. Just trying to catch up to all of you.

JohnboyND7 Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Hayduke has got to be beyond devastated. His party spent hundreds of millions to take the senate back, and all they got was a corrupt astronaut and a dude who watches porn with his mom. McConnell wins by 20+, Graham won by the same amount he did last time, Susan Collins won pretty easily, Cornyn, Daines, Ernst, etc lol. Dems dumped money into those places and got nothing. If Biden wins, as looks likely, he gets the privilege of spinning his chair in circles in the oval office while McConnell shuts everything down. House may flip in 2022, and if the Dems run Harris in 24 like they'll be pressures to, I expect the GOP to be favored there as long as they run a fairly normal GOP type. For the progressive wing of the Democrat Party, this outcome is bad. (Assuming things generally hold here) 3

Dump the money the Ds spend in SC/KY/IA/ME instead into (a) WI/MI and (b) NC/GA and (a) Biden would already be declared and (b) you'd have foundation to turn NC/GA both blue going forward. 2
SiouxFan100 Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Trump ran a hell of a campaign. Ran hard. Very impressed that he was able to close so well - or maybe he always was close?? Proved so many people wrong. 1

BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Lawyer up. I guess, most money spent doesn't necessairly mean victory. 1

I don't think the polls account for the massive number of small counties that are low in population but are high percentage of R's. They seem to stick around the cities and burbs way too much.

Yes, and pulling them out of the secondary secrecy envelope, also reviewing if they were signed. A number of reasons before they get put on the pile to be counted.
Siouxperkick Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 One of the annoying stories of today: Trump's complaining to stop counting votes in MI and PA, but to count more in AZ and NV. It seems he wants to change the rules of the states that aren't in his favor. Always wanting the rules to follow him... It is annoying that the votes are being counted the next day, but that is common and given the large number of absentee/mail-in ballots, this was expected. 1

This year with the massive amounts of early mail-in votes its been a total circus. I wouldn't trust anything, anywhere if I were either candidate.

Trump can't have it both ways though, anything for personal gain.

SiouxForever Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Seem like AZ is back on the table. Recount in Wisconsin. Trump campaign suing Michigan. 2020 nightmare continues. What a circus this is regardless of your candidate/view.
