Tough to argue with the assessment when you look at the team on paper. Hopefully some guys can step up and make it a decent game... IF the game is even played.

Technically the Team could have #44 Donnell Rodgers back....Technically

Referring to his sophomore year and applying for a medical redshirt I assume?

I agree with this on an objective level.  Heading into the season on paper it doesn't look good for the guys in green.  And I mean for most games, on paper, not just K-State.  Luckily, we still get to play the games (maybe) and hopefully we are a big surprise this year in the MVFC.  FYI - the most dominate conference ever in the history of football since we are in it now.:p

As the preview states several times, UND's loss to Nicholls State in the playoffs was a bad one and certainly left a bad impression going into 2020. Sure, the contest was probably closer than the score indicated, but UND looked pathetic stopping the run and running the ball in that game. Couple that with the fact UND loses its top tackler on defense, top defensive linemen, top power runner on offense, and will start a freshman quarterback, the prospects of the 2020 season are not good for UND football.

That being said, football is a sport that can always surprise, particularly if the coaches do a good job preparing the players. UND will likely have a rough go of it early on, but I hope they can catch fire by the end of the season.

Certainly less than impressive stats.  But he doesn't take up a scholarship and really should have 4 QB's on the roster so that one can run the scout team.  Hopefully he is able to contribute to the team.

Reading Tom Miller's article, he's a walk on that wants to get into coaching. Was originally in touch with Rudy, which tells us a lot.

Ya, that article definitely screams scout team QB this year and maybe 3rd string heading into years 2 & 3.
Seems a good addition as no loss of scholarship and he seems happy with the role.

Anyone who is a walk on and wants to get into coaching sounds like a good add, IMO.  Sounds like someone who can contribute off the field and can be a true "team player".

Idk. Would you consider the scout team as getting practice reps and maybe it helps in some ways? If the case, wouldn’t we want someone that has a chance of playing The next years to get those reps?

idk?

Probably, but we have 3 freshman (1 rs 2 true fresh)  that are all potential starters.  That is a lot of depth/competition for one class. We will probably bring in another legit qb next class, making it 5 underclassman QB's.  Plus there is always Boltman who takes some QB reps as well.

The new kid seems like a quality guy, a glue player that accepts any role and does whatever he needs to do to be a valuable player on the team.
