SCSU by 4 tonight. After their slow start and judging by their true colors vs UND’s, it’s not even close. Crazy how badly a small school like SCSU has out recruited, out retained and out coached a powerhouse hockey school like UND.

SCSU is a larger school than UND--by something like 25%, I believe.

Just from a quick google search SCSU is at 12,788 and UND is at 14,648.

I'm wrong then.  I got different numbers--also from a google search.   In either case SCSU is not small to UND's large.

You didn't include graduate students at SCSU but you did for UND.

I literally just typed in UND enrollment and SCSU enrollment on google. I very well could be wrong/probably am but am far too lazy to look anything more up.

Wiki pages have the same numbers you posted.

With Grad students added for both schools:

UND: 14,648
SCSU: 14,615

Either way, unlike high school, due to recruiting/scholarships/budget, size (enrollment) doesn't mean nearly as much for college when it comes athletics success/performance.  An example; Duke basketball.  Yah, a relatively small/med sized school enrollment-wise but certainly not so in terms of their hoops program stature, budget, support, etc.

I wonder what UND's regular season record with SCSU over the last decade.  I'm guessing it's not lopsided one way or another.

A long hard stare at this roster going into 2019-2020 has to be done.

With the guys coming in there are a few guys put on notice:

We lose:  Rhett, Jones, JJ, Shaw, Bob

Maybe lose:  Poolman, Mismash.

Goalies:  Scheel, Feeney, Thome

Top 6 D without Poolman:  JBD, Kiersted, Tychonik, Bast, Bast, Frisch.

Likely suits:  Peski, Reiger.  Although I see Peski dressing as extra skater.

Top 12 forwards without Mismash:  Bowen, Hain, Adams, Senden, Hoff, Smith, Gooch, Weatherby, Blaisdell, Pinto, Rizzo, Caufield.

Likely suits:  Johnson, Yon, Keane, Randklev, Gaber.

If Mismash returns do you have Caufield play a year in the USHL, or based on this year do you still bring in Caufield and someone gets their walking papers?

I'll hang up and listen....

I don't see Randklev coming fall of 2019 after his injury.

I think the injury brings Mismash back.

I wonder if Frisch will be in (as he'd only be a senior at Moorhead right now). Poolman's probably the trigger on that move.

Gaber is a 2020-21 recruit, so he won’t be here in the fall.

Are you sure? He's a 1999 DOB.

It was in the commitment article from his junior team. He’s a late 1999, turned 19 in October. Obviously he could come in with any unexpected departures but the plan is 2020-21 season.
