Back whenever, I told @PCM that even if we end up driving a Jaguar F-type we'd still be looking at the no longer street legal Lamborghini on blocks in the garage. Personally, I painted the windows black and locked the garage and threw away the key.

Yes, you are right that Hawks gear is worn at non-hockey sporting events.  Big deal.  You rarely see it around town.  This used to feel like a Sioux Town.  It is not a Hawks town or a Sioux Town anymore.

A refresh, or another interpretation, would be good. Something that works more than a hockey shoulder patch, FB helmet, or flag, because as was said then, this logo feels more "secondary" than primary. But it works for now given how it came into the world and what it had to work with. 

I have no issues with the font and wordmarks.

I like the hawk mascot, I feel if they tweaked the hawk head and gave it a more determined fearce look it could be a really good primary logo

The mawk mascot "logo" currently out there isn';t great.  Would have to be a big "tweek"

I'm no artist but I always thought they could repurpose the old geometric Sioux head into something that looks like a hawks head. It might be more well received rather than "Mike's" mascot head logo.

To think this all could have been avoided if they let the top choice North Dakota be selected. I think after a while a nickname could have been chosen instead of being forced on the University so soon after retiring the Sioux nickname and logo.
