This is Hockey's fault only inside of your head.  There is absolutely NO evidence that either the Athletic Department screwed up or that if they did it was because they only like Hockey.  Your need to drag down the most successful program on campus is pathetic.

Well, as I did not initially place blame on UND hockey for this, I do not agree with you.  I did go along with it a bit, yes. Obviously you're a big hockey fan, thus you're offended, but it still is a fact that UND athletics is full of hockey advocates first and foremost. That said, I'd much rather not have to discuss UND hockey both on this football forum and in any general UND football discussion moving forward. Your strong desire to defend UND hockey is troubling in that the program stands on its own merit; no need to get offensive over a little dirt being thrown at the most popular sport at UND. I will say, though, that times at UND will be much better when UND football is winning consistently -- hockey can only pull so much weight.

You sure do like to bash hockey.  If I didn't like football as well as I do,  I'd stay away to avoid running into fans like you.

I support hockey quite actively in actuality via season tickets; with that said, I'm just not a huge fan of hockey -- most sports' fans in the U.S. are not.

Are you stating this as a fact?  I'm just curious, I had not heard this reported.

Don't hold your breath on the news conference.

Lots of good information here.  Just scan through the long commercials to get to the meat.

Quick takeaway:

  • Might be pleasantly surprised who they have at No. 1 in the Big Sky this year. ;)

Reasons to be suspicious of their analyses:

  • Not enough love given to Santiago relative to other studs in the league.
  • They tout UND as having the best secondary in the league this year. Hope they know things we don't.
  • They list Meindel as our punter.

Emory Hunt is a joke. Don't listen to a single thing he says. He has no idea what he's talking about.

What makes you say that? Second TV/Internet/Radio person I've seen called out in a week without a reason so far.

He had Carson Wentz ranked #12 out of all QBs and listed him as a possible fourth rounder.

He also lists us as having the best secondary in the Big Sky.... We have so much to prove back there this year that his pick is laughable.  I've watched other videos of his and you can tell his research is about as deep as a paper cut.

The secondary is still a work in progress as I can see . . . much improved from the "defensive escorts" that they were. (escorts, as in they would run down the field with the receiver  and escort him to the end zone).

Maybe they are the top of the heap this year but that certainly isn't proven, and I wouldn't stand in front of a camera and tell everyone that I thought that.

Can we hurry up and start the season already!!!  I'm tired of talking about recruits and logos;)

Maybe UND will have the best secondary in the BSC....

Reyes is the most talented player on the team and Deion Harris is turning into a nice cover corner with height. Also, having depth at safety and, hopefully, avoiding the injury bug will help a lot.

I said it before and I will say it again. Coverage is about technique and scheme. As the season progressed last year, coverage improved when scheme was tweaked and technique was modified. The DBs were allowed to be more agressive versus having multiple pre snap and post snap reads. The game slowed down and it showed in the results after Montana. The secondary will be fine.

Tell me about the offensive line.
Tell me about the defensive front seven.

I'll tell you about the season.

Offensive line - full of ?????? (who will start at center, will Grady be back for the first game, how long will it take for the three or four new starters to mesh, etc.)

Defensive front seven - could easily be the best in the conference...this team will hang its hat on defense, as a Bubba-led team should

In other words, in my opinion, 2016 football team has a 50/50 shot at being very good. Need some luck with injuries and some bounces to go their way.

The potential of the offensive line is immense. But potential doesn't mean !@#$ if you don't make good on it. The hogs are the most important group on the team and its a very interesting situation this year. Let's hope it's a reloading process.

That's where the game is won!

cox, bell, taylor, Aplin, stockwell  miller is a more than capable group. 8 out of 10 stars!!   And hopefully Grady. Need time to gel as a group however.  Small in numbers but big in talent!!    B+

D line is deep and talented.  Notnecessarily a "stud" amongst them but very talented!  Bennet could be that "stud" per a couple of players that i have spoken to. The same guys mentioned jawon is one of the baddest asses on d and expect him to make a big impact.       A.

Can not wait for the season to begin!!

Will R. played like an animal and made up for some shortcomings in the defense.  I think this year the defense as a whole should be more solid across the board and should make up for Will's absence.  Offense is still a wild card . . . two key players get hurt and the O will certainly have issues.

2016 season . . . where are you!!!  i can't wait!!

Was Dylan Harmston a known departure and I'm just realizing it now?

Known by some. It happened late last spring. I PM'd a few a folks on here who seem to be in the know to get more credible info when I got wind of it.

I should add that DH would have provided good depth with loads of potential but we will be just fine at linebacker.

Similar to what Iwarri had going on with a drug bust.  Maybe the rest will learn now.

If anyone has the viewing options for the BG and SB games, feel free to chime in.

Bowling Green game will be on ESPN3. Midcontinent subscribers have access to ESPN3. As for the Stony Brook game, I'm not sure yet.

Recently I was curious and went over to the Stony athletic site and it appears they stream games through their website.
