Had the opportunity to play closer to home, at a bigger school, when there was some instability here. I agree, I would have certainly liked to have him here, but you have to remember that these kids can transfer for any of number reasons. Obviously, he has been successful, so congrats to him. I hear ya, not trying to call you out. I'm sure for some kids its a tough decision, they have friends on the team, they may even enjoy their overall experience, but they may want to be closer to home. No idea if that was the case. jdub27 Posted November 10, 2016 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Golladay wouldn't have been on the team this year if he stayed at UND, he would have graduated last year. He had to redshirt his first year at NIU because of transfer rules, which worked out fine for him since he played as a true freshman at UND. Golladay got looked over big time and had an opportunity to play at a higher level an hour from home instead of 12. This is definitely a situation where I don't fault the kid for making the decision he did, though I really wish we would have go to watch him finish his career at UND. When Muss got let go and Faison dragged his feet it made it a pretty easy choice for Kenny. Sucks for us but it's not like he always had one foot out the door when he was here. I think people saw a bit of Golladay in him, maybe not quite like him but similar features. I believe he has struggled with drops though.
