MoSiouxFan Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 You got it. Great way to kill time in the office on a Monday morning. Yup! Thanks again. Quote
NYSioux Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 I Just bought my tickets for the Montana game. Endzone seating row 5. Looking forward to this game. We have 4 in section 114 row 6! Quote
Nodak78 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 UND has much upside in this poll. I wonder if we could get some takers on placing higher than 9th place? Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 what are the odds that awarri ends up putting up big numbers at running back this year? Quote
Nodak78 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 what are the odds that awarri ends up putting up big numbers at running back this year? BigSky freshman of the year would not surprise me. Quote
CMSioux Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 This helps create interest for the season but I don't see us finishing #9. I doubt coaches have time top put any real thought into this and most of the writers have no clue - there is still a Big Sky bias involved here as evidenced by the pre-season all conference selections. Plus strength of opponents in an unbalanced scheduled makes a huge difference as we have seen in the past. I see us closer to #6 or #5 - (one step at a time) Quote
homer Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 The Billings Gazette is ranking he top 100 players in the league. The paper does a good job at finding different ways to bring attention to the players in the league. http://m.billingsgazette.com/sports/college/big-sky-conference/best-of-the-big-sky-ranking-the-top-players-in/article_4d1d67e6-14a4-51ec-92be-4e7e646fc329.html?mobile_touch=true Quote
dmksioux Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Looks like we have an FBS cornerback transferring in. MoSiouxFan Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Pretty decent resume. Hope his performance meets or exceeds it. Quote
Hambone Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 I believe Sills was in town on Thursday, so I'm glad the staff was able to secure him. Now to get the Big 10 kid to commit....... Quote

dmksioux Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Looks like he initially had commited to Auburn, but when Gene Chizik was fired, he reopened his commitment and ended up at MSU. MSU also tried him out at Safety. http://www.forwhomthecowbelltolls.com/2013/2/6/3961340/national-signing-day-2013-jahmere-irvin-sills-commits-to-msu-will Quote
Teeder11 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Well, let's hope it sticks and he's good at football. Sills played in last year's Capital One Orange Bowl against Georgia Tech and had two solo tackles on kick off coverage. Quote
Hambone Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 RB or DB? He started his career as a RB but was switched to CB last year. My understanding is that he would come in as a CB. Quote

Dagger Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Can he play right away? How many years of eligibility does he have? Is there more to the story? Why is he coming here. What is the connection? Quote
Teeder11 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Can he play right away? How many years of eligibility does he have? Is there more to the story? Why is he coming here. What is the connection? FBS dropdown ... should be able to play right away if grades are there. Three years of eligibility left. Don't know the connection or reason coming here. He is a kinesiology major, or was at one time...UND has a great kinesiolology program, but I doubt that is what drew him here. Who knows? Cross your fingers and hope for the best. 1 Quote

homer Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Tom Miller takes a look at the offense: http://millersports.areavoices.com/2015/07/23/offensive-depth-chart-thoughts/ Good write up by Miller. OL is still such a question mark for this season. LT is a very important position and either of our top two options there right now have not taken snaps at the spot or have very limited snaps there.
