Judging a bobble head by its arms is kind of like judging a naked supermodel by her toenail polish. Just sayin'.

Great analogy. But if the naked super model is a lefty, but is carrying her stick like she's a righty.....its a deal breaker anyway.

Just so you know....the phrase just sayin' died about two years ago.

Wazzup (15 - 20 years ago)!  Just sayin'.

That's more like it!

"Fighting Sioux"? "UND National Championship"?? Defunct language has got to be the second most common form of communication on this site, somewhere between broken English and gfhockey. Can't blame a guy for just trying to fit in. ;)

UND Fighting Sioux - Zach Parise BobbleNotice anything wrong here?

Maybe Zach Broke his stick and had to fly by the bench and have someone throw him one so he could finish the play. the look on his face here is " yeah, I can pull this off with a righty, I'M ZACH F@&KING PARISE."

Hey SS.com users, does anyone know of any players/former players that were active in the Newman center on campus? Thanks for any and all help!

Zane has a big opportunity to step up and shine.  Subban fractured his larynx after taking a puck to the neck during warm ups the other day.

That's a scary injury. More reason to wear the neck protector.

Matt Frattin has been traded to the Senators

Yeah, quite a big trade:

To Ottawa:                          To Toronto:

Dion Phaneuf                    Jared Cowen

Matt Frattin                        Colin Greening

Casey Bailey                       Milan Michalek

Ryan Rupert                       Tobias Lindberg

Cody Donaghey                2017 2nd Round Pick

Now Frattin loaned by Ottawa....to the Marlies.

So Ottowa basically agrees to pay him for the rest of the year, but doesn't want him, sometimes much they will pay him to play against their AHL team.....

To bad fo Matt but it looks as if this may closers to the end then a new beginning.

One tough league.

Frattin had a good start with the Leafs at the beginning of his career, then suffered a knee injury and hasn't been the same since. After being traded to the Kings he logged regular playing time until being injured again. He had a decent year with the Marlies last year, dropped off this year.

And yet Malone is the one from that line to succeed.

Well, we know Frattin's work ethic.  If he wants it, and his body is capable, he'll be back.

I'd go for it if it weren't for that 20% buyer's premium.  ;)

Geez.  Estimate value of $400k.

[Sigh.] Yeah.

I'd love it if there were a way for the 1960 and 1980 jerseys to be on display at the Ralph.

were they not in a legal battle a few years ago over these jerseys?

Frattin is part of the Stamkos prep for Toronto.  There is always extra involved to let both sides feel even.  Stamkos is open about wanting to get back to Toronto and guys like him aren't available often so Toronto is trying to accommodate.

You could say they value him as much as a second round pick.  AND they wanted him back toward the end of the season.  He must be doing a couple things right.  Although I concede he is not the same since injury #2.

Thats what I would like to know.

Dave claims a college fund for his 5 grandkids.

I'd probably sell mine too after 30 years. He's got the memories. It could otherwise end up in one of his kids attic someday. Might as well go to a collector who will proudly display it along side all his other expensive collectables.
