Don’t think this coaching staff will play that game.

Yeah, I tend to agree...especially when the coach is Serratore...they have a good working relationship with the BSU staff.
Now, if Pohlkamp opens his recruiting back up and UND pitches to him after that...then maybe.  It's a fine line, but I doubt Berry and Co will actively try to get to him if he's committed to BSU.

I’d be shocked if he ended up at BSU

As someone who hasn’t lived in ND for decades and has paid minimal attention to BSU, I have no idea the nature of that relationship. Anyone kind enough to explain it?

He left Northeastern. To transfer it has to be via the portal.

Thanks, that makes sense. Didn’t realize he had already played in college.

There once was a player who started at Denver and wasn't cutting it, so he left and went back to the USHL.  He tore it up, and UND won a recruiting battle for him.  That was Brendan Budy.  So I guess I'm leery about a player who couldn't cut it at Northeastern.  With the usual caveat that I've never seen him play.

Back in the days of Our Fathers, I think John Mariucci and Fido had a relationship that benefitted both programs.   It may have been purely transactional, though, since I really don't know about their personal relationship.

What about Nick Jones? We was solid.

Also, our definitions of “tearing up the ushl” must be two completely different things. He was also a click lower than a pt/gm in the BCHL the year after where guys typically put up video game numbers.

But everyone hits a ceiling somewhere. St. Louis is “tearing up the USHL” at the moment and did well in the WJAC. I’d go hard after him. Guessing he’ll stay out east though.

Ryan St Louis' brother Lucas is "Hah-vid" bound fall of 2023.

Muskegon Lumberjacks defenseman Tyler Dunbar, who once was committed to UND, has given a verbal commitment to play college hockey at Colorado College. Dunbar has two goals and 13 points in 25 games for Muskegon this season.

I imagine we'll see a bunch of 06's commit to colleges once the New Year flips. I've heard of multiple family advisor (aka agents) that wouldn't allow their "clients" to commit until the new year hits. They want these kids to take their time and not follow the rush of kids that commit day 1 in August.

Do we need cake eaters? I like to see more recruits from the range aka Hibbing.....or whatever will be good players has anyone seen a goalie?

If a cake eater is going to play well in all 3 zones, I'll take him. His older brother, Mason, is a very reliable player. This Gopher team actually has grit and plays defense. This isn't like some of the other wimpy teams they've put out there, these guys go hard. Really not excited about their potential to raise a banner. I'd rather see their drought go another 10 years please but I think they are recruiting and playing too well.

Agreed, goofs are recruiting too well not to throw up a banner here soon. They’re recruit very high end nationally rated kids, not just MN only. As much as a hate to say this…future looks very bright for them.

Anyone know if UND was looking at Nevers?

Shouldn’t this be in prospective recuits?

The little I’ve seen of Minny this year did not give me the feeling that they had a lot of sandpaper in their game.  Maybe I’ll have to tune in a couple more of their games.

Never a is solid, kind of a grinder. Plays hard. Looks really similar to his older bro. Guessing he’ll be similar to that. Not high end but will have a role.

Shane Doan thinks that Major Junior players should be allowed to play NCAA, or at least give the players the option until they are 18.

I do too, especially if they haven’t signed NHL deals.
