UND-FB-FAN
Game was anything but perfect for UND, but they won, and that’s all that matters. Too many missed shots for UND, FG% was not great, but ultimately Amar, BJ and Tyree got UND to the finish line. Ultimately keep improving, and now go for #7 in a row!

Feel like he is under-appreciated a bit due to being a P5 transfer and not being a scoring guy.
ND1
Interesting stat from Tom Miller with UND in 1st place ….. UND ranks eighth in the Summit League in team field-goal percentage at 43.5 percent. The Hawks are dead last in the league in 3-point shooting percentage at 31.6 percent

Popular Post MoSiouxFan
Down 9 with, what, 5-6 minutes to play in a low-scoring game, only shot 37.5% from the field, and 22.7% from the arc. Says a lot about the team's character that we still managed to make enough clutch plays down the stretch to grind out a win. Perhaps we're learning how to win, which is saying something after the last couple of years. 5

Oxbow6
Was shocked Skunberg went MIA in the 2nd half. He looked as interested in being there as Chaves.

He does everything Brady does hustle wise but also actually has skill. And isn’t a literal traffic cone on defense. Don’t forget that traffic cone part You have been after the Sather's head forever. The team is number in the summit but early and your critics way way too early. 1

Popular Post Hans8891
Amer has gotten to be a monster on the boards. That was huge today. Nice to see T hit a couple from outside as well. Trey and BJ struggled to drive on much smaller defenders. Wished they would have just gone low and called for the ball. Would have been a bucket or a foul. To answer the question why Trey was out at the end of the game, that answer is simple. Eli was simply better. Eli was a game changer in the last 10 minutes. Blocks, steals, rebounds, defensive shutdowns, assists, and hustle plays. When Trey came back in, the first thing he did was give his man an open layup on an out of bounds play on the block. That was clearly the right move to get Eli back in. SU didn’t cheat at all on Trey. It was clear they were not going to give him any room on the 3 and he couldn’t get himself open. Granted, i would like to see a bigger effort to get him open on offense for an open look - but he didn’t have many today. If he is not serving as an offensive threat, Eli is hands down a better defender and playmaker. Regardless of a few issues to clean up, we showed a lot of grit to win a game when we were simply not getting much to fall. Congrats to the team and Sather. We will shoot better than we did today. When we do, look out.
nd1sufan
I was not able to watch the 2nd half of the men’s game , but was following on ESPN. Saw there was a foul and 2 FT’s by UND and then a bucket right after. Was the flagrant foul a no doubter?

It was a pretty rough game: Early in the game a elbow was thrown down low that caught Tyree in the jaw - they checked and said no. The TV commentator was surprised by the no call. Omot had to leave the game for a short period of time. He ended up with a couple of stitches on his eyebrow. Amar then drew a F1 at the end of the game. It looked like a clear F1 to me. But, I am a Sioux fan so I do carry some bias. I only mention the others to say it was a very physical game. And refs let them play, which I think NDSU used it to their advantage.
