I'm not saying fire anybody, but we should have won that Duluth game with the firepower we had. Watching the ascent of Michigan State while their former goalie flounders for us is rough. It is just an established fact that a rested team has a huge advantage over a team on the back end of a back-to-back. Thanks to UMD's unearned bye the previous day, they were fresher. That's not coaching, that's incredible good fortune. 3 Quote

If Bast was healthy, I would have them as 7 and 8 right now. Up front, it's harder to find guys to take out to get McLaughlin and Portz back in. Maybe Albrecht, Costantini and Kunz. Albrecht did not look like the same player as last year, but that may take reps after the injury. As for who stays in, the top line can be electric, the old men are still effective, and I don't want to mess with 21-26-28. Or Ness, who is consistently making things happen. I’m sorry did I miss the disclaimer on my ticket that said I would watch these young men play hockey and be perfect in every aspect of the game. Just asking for a friend. 1 Quote

Maybe you are okay with what happened last night, but I am not. This is a fan forum. People come on here to vent after a loss and celebrate after a win. Don't act shocked when people do those things. As for ".....appreciate the efforts of a group of young men, trying their hardest to not disappoint", this isn't freaking high school athletics, although watching how UND runs their athletic department, it is hard to tell the difference sometimes. All that is missing is selling baked goods at the front door. And no, my "self-esteem" is not measured by what happens at a sporting event. But I wouldn't be a fan if I didn't care whether or not the team does well. That is called indifference and it is the polar opposite of love, not hate as some people think. Don't agree with this. That is fine, but please don't tell me what and how to think. Thank you. Quote

gfNDfan Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Here's the REAL elephant in the room...STOP bringing back the great teams and feeding the fans BS that will only talk about how we're the FIGHTING SIOUX FOREVER! We're NOT anymore - it's 2022 - I hated to see it go but it's GONE! Face facts...that name is cursed. 1 title in 20+ years with all these great teams and the arena we have? Can't blame Hak and Berry for that - blame yourselves for being self-centered a-holes who won't consider change! The great opportunity was to take the idea of the NODAK jerseys and have them say HAWKS (5 letters - could have been a bridge to the past for the future but what do I know) but no - gotta keep grasping on to the past and we can't win for whatever reason and you blame everyone else but yourselves just to keep wearing a Sioux jersey. Just make sure to sign up for that next great DESTINATION game - where we'll probably lose. I might quote a famous movie star on ALL this...Stupid is as stupid does We need to move on...maybe in coaching - certainly in attitude but we NEED to MOVE ON! 1 Quote

It’s no surprise recruiting took a nose dive when Dean Blais and John Marks left; culminating in 3 sub .500 seasons a few years later (early 90s) 1 2 Quote
