I think with his father bring in town and DeRidder giving up a soft goal or two we could see the Swede tonight.  Been a while.

Hope to see 18 as well unless he's hurt.

Really short leashes for some yet others continue to be obviously liabilities and still get way more minutes than the deserve.

Can’t figure out the line combos put out by the coaches, maybe the sticks are thrown down  at center ice an end Berry picks that way.

That’s what I’ve been thinking. Some much line switching, getting a bit desperate.

someone else pointed out, one reg win in the last 8. That’s actually really bad for this program. Need to turn it around tonight. Denver wasn’t that much better than us, we just have a tough time actually winning. Need to stay out of the box.

sure these are games against top ranked teams but if we can’t win any games-lessor opponents get that much more important. Zero margin for error.

Lack of discipline , lack of physical condtioning and poor line combos/ multiple combos comes down to coaching. Maybe the coaches have to be open to doing things different and no keep doing the same thing every week.

Line combos I would like to see

8-9-18

17-22-26

19-27-10

20-13-11/29

7-25

15-3

2-6

Forward lines...yes but no way Judd sits. 4th line at a minimum would include him.

Why not give 17 22 26 a chance??

Posted

17-22-9

10-27-19

26-8-28

 X-X-X

7-15

X-X

X-X

This is what I want to see tonight.... really for the next few weeks.....give these lines a chance to develop some chemistry.....

28 was absolutely dead weight last night.

That was very obvious. At one point in the game in the third. He had the puck on his own blue line while the team was in a line change. He could have easily taken a few strides to the red line and dumped it in or taken it back into his own end. Instead the DU player took the puck away way too easily and they ended up with a few good scoring chances. He had quite a few turnovers last night.

100%

Never seen a puck follow a guy to the bench in the slot in the third period...

Brad’s article mentioned it, but Kleven was injured in the 1st and didn’t return. Guessing that means there’s a good chance he doesn’t play tonight.
This team sure has dealt with it’s fair share of injuries over the last few years.

Berry said that he'd be evaluated this morning. They didn't know the extent of his injury.

Is this team gonna make the playoffs?

Yea, every team makes the playoffs. The rate we’re going, we’ll be on the road in the first round at somewhere like Denver or Western.

Albrecht needs to be in the lineup.

Last I heard, he was injured but I agree with you. Maybe he’s not the heralded high end recruit but his motor is always running and he brings an intangible to the team that can’t be taught. He brings it whenever he gets the opportunity to play.

Denver knew exactly what it needed to do to get the victory last night despite all the travel issues.   UND might get boat raced tonight. All grind(all be it no grit) minus speed and skill is where UND is at.  They can get blue chip defense but no forwards.  I hope they have taken down all speed kills signs in the locker room area as it has become irrelevant with this program.

But that's what the portal is for, right? :silly:

I would guess we'll still be top 4 in NCHC and be home for first round, despite our recent struggles.
The NCAA playoff picture is a bit murkier however.  Our OOC record thus far isn't going to help.  Still have a couple remaining OOC series against BSU and Lindenwood...need better results in those four games.
