Our guys will be swooping in from all different places to sack the qb!  The team is focused!

Northern Iowa was ready for us a couple times when we rushed with six and made us pay. I'd like to think we can avoid signaling our defensive play calls and keep them off balance.

I’m expecting our D to make some big plays and hoping we have corner ready to stand out. Going to be a heckuva game! Is it Saturday YET?!

Will be interesting to see if Ocansey see's the field more at corner on Saturday.  Think he was in at corner pretty much the entire 4th quarter at NAU.

Skokna back?

Skokna out this week again, Elijah Klein may get his first action this year. Casey Schultz seems to just be fighting through the pain, he's been banged up in just about every game. Couple of injured backup tight ends, but otherwise pretty healthy this week.

Hope Schultz can get healthy and doesn’t have the constant injury bug like Ott did causing him to hang it up. Lot of similarities between the two.

The next three weeks will give us a much better idea of the level of this team.  The argument for: they are 2-1 with the only loss to an FBS P5 team.  The argument against: Nebraska is one of the worst P5 teams and the two FCS games were close wins against suspect teams.  If the defense keeps giving up an average of 30 pts/game they will be in trouble. Need to see improvement starting Saturday.

If they want a chance at a first round bye they probably need to go 3-0.  Anything less than 2-1 and there’s a good chance the team misses the playoffs.

I always think the SIUs coaching staff familiarity with the/our 3-4 puts a lot of pressure on our offense to have to score.

Would love to see Isiah have a game like last year   I think today is Red’s big day and we find another way to win by 4. 34-30
