SiouxScore Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Big game for the Vikes tomorrow find a way to lose and they could be all the way up inside the top 10 come draft time. No Cook, Reiff, Rudolph, Kendricks, Dantzler, Odenigbo, or Holmes. Still worry that Jefferson and Thielen will combine for 300+ and a number of TDs though. Stafford says he wants to play for Detroit so hopefully he can and hopefully Detroit watched how awful the middle of the Vikings defense is and just runs it down our throat all day. Quote

Be a great game for the Lions to run A gap trap with Adrian 35 times. He'd score 7 touchdowns guaranteed. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Don't know what is worse. The defenses in the Vikings/Lions game or the officials? Holy cow! Quote
SiouxScore Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 That was absolutely terrible officiating in the Vikings game. Vikings should've lost that game if not for the incompetence. No way that is a roughing the passer call and that gave the Vikings 6. The incomplete pass on the Detroit TD was terrible too. Man that dude should never work another NFL game in his life. 1 Quote

Especially because Zimmer is old school and won't tank the game. Detroit fans should be thrilled. You should have won, but got jobbed, and now you get a better pick in the long run. 2 Quote

I was talking about that yesterday. No way in a meaningful game do the Vikings get any of those calls. Quote
Shawn-O Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 A lot of intrigue coming up for the Vikings in the offseason. Do they get much needed help on the D-Line? Will Trey Lance be on the board to do they select him as the heir-apparent to Cousins? Do they take Georgia's Ben Cleveland to get help on the interior OL? Do they dub the new look O-Line the Cleveland Clinic? So many questions, so little answers. Quote

He was on track for NFL MVP that season before the ACL tear, so I'm going to say no. Or was the knee injury worse than was thought? Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 In seriousness to the Vikings 1) Guards 2) D-Line 3) Backup QB upgrade Quote

I don't think what happened to Wentz will have any standing on Lance. As for Wentz, he is not blameless in this situation as he has made some questionable decisions but the Eagles Front Office and Dougie P haven't helped matters. Imagine Wentz having Justin Jefferson instead of the kid from TCU. Quote

Kab Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Who goes wentz or Peterson? if I was wentz I would want a change of scenery Quote
The Sicatoka Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 What are Wentz's and Cousin's contracts? Could the teams literally do a "change of scenery" swap with minimal fiscal impacts? Found it. It's not exact, but it's close. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/cap/ https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/cap/ Quote

It's not exact, but it's close. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/cap/ https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/cap/ But based on performance the last three years (since Kirk has been in Minnesota) and then taking into account Wentz's injury history, why would the Vikings even remotely consider that and take on a huge cap hit with the dead money they would owe Cousins? Especially when they have plenty of needs to fill. Eagles have even bigger issues. Wentz hasn't even started the expensive extension he signed yet. Though with signing bonuses, his contract for a team that would trade for him would be something like 4 years/$98 million. However they would eat some significant dead cap money while already being over the salary cap. But if they decide to move on from Wentz, it is because they are comfortable with Hurts (or they draft another QB at 11....) so they don't have a need for Cousins at that point. Quote
