"like every other"........that's code for irrelevant.

.......but to cheer you up Tom Miller just tweeted the person inside the mascot outfit was Rudy. Thank goodness for Bluetooth.

So all mascots are irrelevant?

Not all.......most. Just my opinion. The live buffalo at Colorado is really cool. The "cardinal" at Iowa St. is not. If our new mascot gives you a chubby so be it.

Was UND as much of a “hockey-first” school before the REA?

 Yes.

UND was in a conference with Big Ten Schools Minnesota and Wisconsin winning 7 Division 1 titles.

While UND football was playing Morningside, Crookston,  Augustana, and Moorhead in freezing temps outside.

Sure UND hockey got a new arena, but so did UND football...from a crappy outdoor stadium to one of the nicest indoor stadiums in FCS. Then UND Football moved to Division 1. The gap is pretty much the same. They both went from averaging 6,000 to 10,000+.

Football will never be king in Grand Forks, it's a hockey town first and foremost.  Hell, when was the last time Grand Forks had a decent high school football team?

It appears that GF HS’s have a grand total of one state championship going back to the 1940’s. (Central 2005).  That has to be an indication of the relevance of the sport in the community.

This game leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It was a very winnable game. I didn't like the run defense. The D had no answer for ISU's impressive tandem at RB.

Ty Flanagan ran wild 119 yards and James Madison also hit the century mark with  106 yards.  The Gueller brothers were impressive.

This is worse than the 2015 debacle.  There was no excuse for this one.

This program cannot sustain any momentum what so ever, its frustrating, mind boggling, etc.

This cannot keep happening, the scene has changed since 2015 with a new AD, budget cuts, etc.  This team needs to be more successful than it has been... period.

Now... what I will be interested in is this:  How will everyone in that locker room will respond to this one.  Do they finally get it together and tear through the rest of the schedule? Or will it be more of the same.

As has been the case under Bubba, our team had no chin. After that fumble we folded it up. That TD pss to Wanzek was a terrible throw and should have been picked. Kett is not good, finally getting to see him throw in person yesterday was underwhelming. His arm isn’t as strong as people were saying. His mechanics are sloppy and leads to bad throws. His decision making is also suspect at times. I would like to see what Zimm would do. The team rallied around him last year. Why not give it a shot this year?

His decision making actually hurt him this game, the previous 3 games he got lucky because the INT’s were dropped

To make the playoffs we can only lose one more game. Kind of have to assume that will be against Weber but who knows. We just lost about all room for error. Time to play desperate every game.

And that sums up our problem.  An "OK" QB at best.   I think we can all see why he was passed over at Sac State.   We won't be an elite FB team until bubba figures out how to hit a home run when it comes to bringing in quarterbacks.    The OK ones aren't cutting it, someone compared Ket to Mollberg and that's probably a fair assessment.

He had a bad game in the second half but he is still learning and getting better. We are all pissed after this loss but some of you really need a reality check. We only have two losses right now and our season is far from over.

its time to move on from this loss and make sure going forward that we don’t regret needing that win. It was a whole team loss with many to blame and we need to mice forward just like the team is. It’s way too early in the season for some of your guys crap.

We also should have went for it on fourth down when on their 30 some yard line. We kept moving the ball good then got stalled. We needed to try to keep it going once we had the ball in their end. Those penalties absolutely killed us on those 3 drives. Chang that and it would have been a different ballgame

Bubba is terrible at managing moral with when to go for it. Show your guys you believe in them for Christ’s sake!

Unfortunately, UND looked like "mice" yesterday!

Bubba has clearly established that he doesn't have the guts for that call on 4th down.
