Bad attendance for 1st game: < 10k

that’s what 3-8 season does to a program/fan base

cant have any more of those or chopping block time

ultimately agree it’s all about winning but the added amenities are definitely an upgrade

There was not a good walk on crowd. Disappointing, 3-8 as just mentioning has to be more of a factor than Thursday game.

The student section filling up kept us from real embarrassing attendance numbers.

Also I think playing a team that we are expected to beat by 40 doesn't help draw much of a walk up crowd.

Thursday night game, ok weather, team we hardly know about that we are supposed to win easily......yeah, not suprised by the turnout.  The next game is Homecoming/Potato Bowl/Hall of Fame game.  Plus it will be our first Saturday home game of the year.  I expect a much bigger crowd for that game.

UND will most likely be going into that game on a two game losing streak. Do you really think the attendance will be that much better than this week?

BTW, does anybody know what it cost to get Mississippi Valley to come to GF?   With the number of tickets sold it had to be a major loser for the athletic department.

Sounds like a job for you since you're the most interested.

It will definitively be better even if they are 1-2 going into the game.

Considering it’s both Homecoming  and Potato Bowl, I have no doubt that the attendance will be better.

Speaking of major losers, thanks for stopping by.

I saw the Thursday game as an advantage since it was Labor Day weekend..

As one of many who has to drive 4 hours to Grand Forks for the games, it wasn't.

Holy cow, Beautiful stadium.

Do they typically fill all 72,500 seats? If they normally do, will they on Saturday against UND?

I have high hopes that K-Ham can keep the chains moving and produce a few TDs to keep the clock moving and keep things close. I hope it's enough of a game to keep everyone in their seats until the final play.
