NORTH DAKOTA @ DU - SATURDAY Gameday

Two things:  DU will come out H-A-R-D tonight. Based on Monty’s post-game comments last night, you can count on it.

However, the pressure is also on DU tonight. Would UND love to get a sweep? -Of course. But UND is now playing with house money after getting points last night. DU and their faithful know that should they lose tonight, there will be a lot of finger pointing and doubt in that locker room. On the flip side, what a huge confidence booster for North Dakota-storming back from the dead against the defending champs and #1 team in the nation, in their own barn no less.

Jalliet looked mediocre without Butcher in front of him. Doubtful he gets the nod tonight.

He certainly did. And in spite of giving up 4 goals, I thought Thome played another good game. The team has allowed 4 goals twice this season and won them both. Hmm.....

I would be surprised if Monty goes with Dayton Rasmussen (fr., Eden Prairie, MN) tonight, but stranger things have happened.

Here are Rasmussen's stats from his two collegiate starts:

October 21, 2017 vs. Lake Superior State: 1 goal allowed on 16 shots (win)

November 3, 2017 at Western Michigan: 6 goals allowed on 37 shots (loss)

That gives him an NCAA line of: 1-1-0, 3.54 goals-against average, .868 save percentage

Rasmussen just turned 19 and was traded mid-year in both of his USHL seasons (from Waterloo to Tri-City in 2015-16 and from Tri-City to Chicago in 2016-17).

In the second game of a rivalry weekend (and given the way last night ended up), I think it's Jalliet's net.

I would put that more on the defense.

Rasmussen might still be in Monty's dog house after breaking a team rule that had him not dress on of the St. Cloud games.

Monty should be in a doghouse of his own, the way he has let his emotions control his behavior in front of his team.

THANKS.  The Roku App said it starts now.   I guess that's what happens when your state doesn't participate in daylight savings time!
