bang Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I'm still massively pumped about yesterday, but we need to win next week. Hate to be the party pooper but the boys will need to be ready. Quote
siouxfan512 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Agreed, no reason this game should even be close, but we have to be ready to play. Good opportunity to work on some things and cleanup some mistakes. Should be fun. Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Did we have any injuries yesterday. Who are we getting back who didn't play yesterday. I am pumped. Realistic but pumped. Quote

bang Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 One thing we can take from the first game going forward is that we firmly have a #1 QB. Quote
jdub27 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Forecast is looking excellent. Hope the students are out in full force and the Alerus is rocking. Take care of business at the Potato Bowl and then worry about the next game. Quote
CMSioux Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I'm certain the coaching staff will point to Montana's loss at home the week about beating the bison as an example of what can happen after a big win. Every game is going to be a struggle - you can bet Drake is going to air it out plenty on Saturday. Quote
gundy1124 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Game against a senior laden team sandwiched between fbs and ndsu. Definition of a trap gameI haven't had too much time to research Drake but last year when they played a pretty decent Western Illinois they were handled. A team I have never heard of had some offensive success in game #1 against Drake. I expect to handle Drake yet they will be experienced and crafty enough to put up a fight, which is exactly what we need to continue to build off the big win and improve. It wouldn't do any good to play a Valpo or another crappy team right now, if anything it hurts playing really crappy teams because good players get sloppy and rely on the talent imbalance to make up for mistakes and sloppiness. When talent is the same, it comes down to doing things the right way. Quote
Sioux94 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I'm hoping we play another solid game next week, control the entire game, and win big. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though thinking we are going to blow them out. Seems like I recall the Wyoming fan base thinking they were going to beat us by 20-30 points and we know how that turned out. 2 Quote

SiouxVolley Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Drake did play a close game (44-30) with someone named William Jewell. Jewell is a DII team with scholarships in the GLVC. Edited September 7, 2015 by SiouxVolley Quote
nodak651 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) I would just like another win with few or no injuries. I hope Katon plays well. And I don't give two shits what the score is as long as we win. A win is a win. Edited September 7, 2015 by nodak651 Quote
TBR Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Would be good to build enough of a lead up to allow for Bartles and other second line players to get some playing time... 2 Quote

Can't turn the ball over on offense and need to be physical up-front. On defense, stop the run, and on 3rd down, GET LOUD in the Alerus and help Sack City come alive! MoSiouxFan Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Don't look now, but the Sioux now have a 3- game winning streak, with an opportunity to make it 4 in a row this weekend. Anyone know when the last time was that the Sioux had a 4-game winning streak? Quote

ericpnelson Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 This is a college sports fan forum, so forgive me as I dip into the frivolous for a second. I just watched the walk out for Virginia Tech vs Ohio State. I hope we figure our walkout/hype video out. I personally have found it a little lack luster in the past. Man, that atmosphere looked sweet in Virginia tonight 1 Quote
