Tyler Kleven (Senator #43) is one more player to participate in an NHL game.  Can someone help me with this question?  How is Tyler Kleven paid if he gets into one NHL game and the team has him watch the rest of the games without going down to the AHL?

I think they pro rate the contract per game since this year counts as his first year of his 3 year deal.

The entry level contract is $925,000 per year and he will be with Ottawa for their last 10 games whether he is in lineup or not. So he will make a little more than $11,000 per game times 10 games plus daily per diem.

Thank you for the information.  Watched the  NHL Ottawa Senators game.  According to broadcasters they said Jake Sanderson is the best player on the ice tonight.  The broadcasters pointed out that Kleven is a heavy hitter and that his ability to hit caused his college league to act in a way that made Kleven’s signing decision.  The 4 players listed below are all playing significant minutes in the game for the Senators and all four are former UND players.  Four UND players in the same game for one team.  The broadcasters also were saying wonderful things about Brad Berry and the UND program developing pro players.

# 57.  Shane Pinto.  Forward

# 24.  Jacob Bernard-Docker.  Defense

# 43.  Tyler Kleven.  Defense

# 85.  Jake Sanderson.   Defense

Any idea what a daily per diem is for NHL and for the AHL?

Thought we would see Judd against Frisch tonight in AHL. Judd playing in first game right now but Frisch must be injured as he played 4 games and has been out of the line up the last two including tonight.

Jandric must have been dinged up as well as he has not played a game yet for Rochester but is on their roster.

Their coaches better start playing them both otherwise they’ll probably have to enter the portal at the end of the season. ;)

Imagine making a bad play and skating back to a bench with HC Hakstol and Assistant Coach Toews looking at you.

A coach needs experience....

Volunteer assistant at UND while finishing a degree?

He'd not going to make it far in life without a degree......
