It will be interesting to see how Jax and staff handle that Saturday. They have to figure out, first, which players would be most effective against the Plante line, then make those match-ups happen, despite Sandy’s efforts prevent that How can he prevent that? We have last change being at home. If he trots out their top line, we just put whatever our shutdown line is. Quote

They ended up outscoring the Drury line in the final I believe...Matt Henderson was MOP of the Frozen Four. 1 Quote

ND_Texan Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago With the second change advantage at home Jax & Co. should be able to bottle up the One Liners with fresh legs and big bodies. I look for the Croal line out there a bunch against the One Liners. 1 Quote

Something like James LW, Josephson C, Croal RW? Could always throw Young on the right if you wanted at least one RH stick out there. I assume the coaches trust the 200-foot game of the whole squad and can use the last change to get the line out there they want when the Plantes are on the ice, but might be worth considering. He did that earlier this year. Can’t remember all the guys on that line, but Josephson was a key at center. Quote

Pretty sure it was Ollie, Cody, and ... some other guy*. Jack might make for a nice other guy. He seems the pest when he chooses. *darn brain Quote

Agree that if the Plante line gets shut down Duluth will struggle, but they actually have 5 different guys that have 10 or more goals (obviously the plante line makes up 3 of the 5) and then Ty Hanson the D has 8 goals and is flirting with almost a point per game. We should still beat them if we are playing our A game but the Dogs aren't as much of a 1-trick pony as they were 2 months ago. 2 Quote

I think with our 4-line depth and D corps advantage we still should be able to bottle them up, as long as we stay out of the box and avoid errant giveaways. I guess that sounds like every game, right? 2 Quote

When the line of Ollie, Croal and Strinden were together all three were playing their best hockey and that is when Strinden was on a heater. I've been extremely surprised the line has never been put back together which I'm hoping is the weekend. The only reason the line got disbanded was because I believe Croal has a couple week stretch were he was sick. 1 Quote

cberkas Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Big thing is stay out of the box, and if on the kill keep everything to the outside and take away anything in or through the middle. 1 Quote
