Having a quick process to hire a new coach was to keep player from going to the portal who went to the portal anyway why not wait until after the regionals or Frozen Four to start the interviews. Saying they prefer a candidate with ties to UND, eliminates 99.9% of the coaches and they only have 0.1 % to hire from. 1 Quote

I will wait... Quote

That makes no sense. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM I hope Dane and Bubbs have different d-zone philosophies as well because besides the PK (yikes) our even strength d-zone play was abysmal at many times this year. And maybe it wasn't the philosophy, maybe it was an issue of buy in from the team on the d-zone philosophy. Quote
Siouxperdouper Posted yesterday at 06:44 PM Posted yesterday at 06:44 PM Why aren't we hearing more calling for the AD's job. It's time. Over 20 wins and you get fired? Men's BB not a good season and he's keeping his job?? Wonder if ticket sales will decrease next year?? Quote

To me, if Berry said that, then he wasn't confident that his own assistants were capable of being in charge, which is kind of an indictment on himself. 1 Quote

I think most of us knew there were some issues behind the scenes, but nobody could have guessed that it was this bad. Hearing what some players think of each other really shows that divide, and if the coaches were like that, then you see why there was division. Somebody had to be adults in the room, and I question going forward if it wasn't just wise to start fresh all around, especially with the revelation that UND hasn't been as visible on the recruiting stage as other programs. That wreaks of relying on the laurels of the program, and when you are getting a half million a year, that is unconscionable. 5 Quote

This whole ordeal doesnt pass the smell test. Th start of his demise? Was the issue w/the nodak logo. This was a jumbotron sized red flag. It went right to the top of the flagpole. No institution can tolerate this. His integrity, intellect and honesty took a direct hit. Add the off ice issues, players not getting along. Lack of leadership and inability to make critical decisions and players lose confidence in him. Now he’s dealing w/dissention. Plus issues w/his own staff. I still dont get it. The biggest question? How well did anyone know coach berry? What happened to him? Was he struggling w/personal issues? Implosions like this just dont happen overnight. In the end und had to make a change. I seriously doubt und/brad berry can keep a lid on this story. Time will tell. Go sioux!! 1 Quote

Not sure if you consider these smart or reasonable but two things I’m interested in are will players be allowed to wear fishbowls and also would he allow players to wear numbers outside of the traditional numbers that we have seen (players 2-29 and goalies 1, 30-35)? 2 Quote
