Dane did a crappy job of getting them ready to play? You could be right!! Who am i to say? Could we consider this? Is it possible he did have the right game plan? How's coach jackson supposed to make them block more shots? Skate faster? Be stronger? Get to pucks first? Play with more urgency? Control play? Seems to me, game plans, rely on the ability of every player to see them through. Maybe the play of the badgers had something to do with it? I'm no gr8 hockey mind nor an expert. Just a loyal fan that loves fighting sioux hockey.

To all sioux sports forum members. I need to eat a large helping of crow. I must admit....i couldnt have been more wrong about dane jackson. I didnt think he was the right coach to lead this team. I was wrong!! Against all odds...he found the formula to build a team. And lead this team deep into the post season. Hats off to coach jackson!!

I wonder...is it possible sioux coaches has this team prepared? The caveat is/was..The badgers were just too good? I believe we had a gr8 season. Go fighting sioux!!

Our sioux defense needs to show up. Our team needs to block more shots. Moreover, the badgers are beating us to the puck.

62nd in the country is an interesting stat. However, come tournament time it's of little importance. Lesson might be: what we were means nothing. It's what we are now that counts!!

Right now, the badgers are more physical. They're faster, stronger and are forcing their will on us. We're lucky it's only 2-0.

I believe you’re spot on. This berry family seems to love drama too. The media and und are doing what they can to keep this story from spinning out of control. In the future, i think we’ll find out….brad berry isnt that nice of a guy. The family’s a mess. His legacy @ und will be tarnished….beyond repair. Where there’s smoke there’s fire!! Go sioux

Coach berry’s probably better at keeping things in check. Where the behavior was learned? At home and from other pompous friends n family. We havent heard the last of the berry family. Not much we can do about it. People will soon see, they never really knew this coach and his family.

This is a great move for jake. He’s doing what he needs to do. I believe the iowa state cyclones fball staff is very young. I hope jake has incredible success as a coach. Like to see grand forks kids make a name for themselves.Leaving after 1 season w/ndsu will not hurt him at all. Go sioux

I think we get used to listening to the talent that’s available in our market. Plus, heinert’s still young. He needs to move on. Get an opportunity to work with the best talent in sports broadcasting. If he stays here too long, he’ll get stagnant. He needs to inch closer to major market sports. I would expect him to leave if midco doesnt get the contract. I have no inside info. It’s rare that a play by play guy like timmy h, stays in one place for so many yrs. Go sioux

I did watch the frozen 4. I also have 30 yrs experience w/radio and tv. Mhd mn spuds, concordia college sports. Also univ of iowa hawkeyes sports teams. All mens and womens sports. I upvoted your post as u have some good thoughts. As far as heinert being elite? Is it possible we arent talking about the same thing. Heinert might be considered a good color guy. He doesnt/cant do play by play. Play by play is a specialty. Umm,he never undersells a goal? That’s possible. He does oversell run of the mill plays. As well as, yelling too loud. He th audio levels of the mic. This happens because the midco sound crew is not paying attention. Heinert was hired because they got him cheap. Heinert could probably be a good color guy. With extensive training, he might be able to start doing genuine play by play. But he needs a ton of training. He also shouldnt stay in this market much longer. He needs to move on. Get his foot in the door of a major college athletics program. He does have talent. Midco does have good equipment. Go sioux

A big no to midco. They’re awful. Their production team’s incompetant. The sound crew is asleep most of the time. Announcers mic is popping like hell. Is the name alec or alex? I feel sorry for him. In any case, they cant be paying him very much. He’s not capable of doing play by play. He really does color. Too often players are moving the puck. He’ telling some ridiclous story. Im sure he’s not had any formal training. Nobody taught him to do p by p. My fellow sioux fans may not like my post. I spent many decades in broadcast media. There’s a huge difference in play by play & color. Cant stand to listen to midco. I turn midco sound off and listen to timmy go sioux

You have a point there. I still maintain that a good many contributors on these forums are in the know. They are part of the info pipeline that exists here. Some posts may appear to be head scratchers. However, th lightbulb goes on when we read between the lines. Go sioux

A good writer like schloss, should have und leaders seeking him out. Asking what his slant will be on specific issues? hockeytherapy13, you could be right. What i do know, the real detectives are on these forums. A good many were talking about our lack of recruiting/scouting. There are more than a few und athletes that contribute here. Football, basketball and hockey players. It doesnt get any better!!! Go sioux

Sioux sweet, i agree w/your take. It’s obvious schloss has a small group of fans. Schloss is a good writer. Sadly, he feels the need to compromise his standards. But he’s allowed access to players, coaches, etc…big deal. As readers, we’re getting run of the mill stories. The real measure of the popularity & success of a writer is readership. Circulation/subscription #’s are the key for newspapers. Neither of these factors guarantee that a beat writer will have a successful column. So, does he have a few hundred loyal readers? A thousand? No, i cant be a better writer than schloss. No, i dont feel he lacks ability. No, i dont think he’s lazy. One last thing, i know he’s gotten recognition for his columns. This wont make a beat writer more popular or influential. Schloss, give us your best. Go sioux

May i? Sense of honor? Ummm maybe. However, we know he was lacking in other areas of sense. Most importantly….common sense. I was a fan of berrys. It was a balloon popper when previous & existing issues came to the surface. Made me realize i/we never really knew him. In retrospect, How did this team win so many games? It was only the lack of responsible reporting by people in the know. That kept these issues out of the spotlight. Censoring news never bodes well for those involved. Writers/media become a laughing stock. Just my 2 cents. Go sioux!!
