78 und grad Posted Thursday at 11:36 PM Posted Thursday at 11:36 PM Yes Irish. I did watch the sioux. I totally agree with you. Please know, ive never claimed to be a gr8 hockey mind. In addition, i never played the sport either. My years spent @ und were marvelous. I love the game and this team. I just get the feeling there’s a bit more here than meets the eye. There may not be anything else. Go sioux!! 1 Quote

Irish, there seems to be a pattern here. in no particular order. + BB wanted to bring in mitchell miller. Miller grew up in ohio. Miller bullied a disabled kid for many yrs. The legal system got involved. Nhl teams wanted miller. The nhl commissioner finally said. He will not play in the nhl. + Then we learn that BBs daughter owns the NODAK logo thats on the sioux jerseys. + It also seems to be true that a team captain was trying to mess with another players girlfriend. So this became an issue. The team captain really wasnt held accountable. I believe this created a problem amongst the players. + I just think..where there’s smoke there’s fire. I’d guess people on these forums could add to the list. + Do these things speak of a larger issue? Maybe BB has a hard time dealing w/tough issues. Does this lead und to wonder about ethics and integrity deficiencies? As a result, BB wouldnt be able to build a real team of winners. + Maybe und could see future problems. Like media outlets starting to snoop around. Issues like these can raise all holy hades. They’re very difficult to resolve and very costly as well. We all have different thoughts. I just wanted to share mine. I wont bring this up again. Thanks, Go sioux 1 Quote

The college hockey world won't wait for us to get our crap together. I don't want to fall further behind. I agree that WHOEVER it is, they should get a short leash but I would hope the AD (and whoever else) sets out a strict plan on what we should expect to see from year to year. My thought is at least 3 or 4 years. Gives them time to get settled and get THEIR players. 1 Quote

sioux24/7 Posted Friday at 02:16 AM Posted Friday at 02:16 AM Putting a “short leash” on a coach we haven’t even announced yet is absolute lunacy. There’s a strong chance we see a lot of portal entries, especially if it’s not Dane. Next year could be rough, if that’s the case. You have to give the coach some time. I always think a college coach should get a minimum of 4 years but I guess you could argue that’s not as necessary these days with the portal. Still, don’t agree with the short leash. 2 Quote

I would consider that a short leash for UNDs standards. That gives you time to get your players and implement your style of play. you are correct, we shouldn’t expect much next year, no matter who’s our coach. Quote

At the end of the day the players that remain here contributed to getting a coach fired. They better up their game and play to their potential. Quote
